And the Thai, which is slowly but steadily heading for a an end of November or December harvest. Some of its small buds already have a faint smell that makes me very happy because it's a mix of the medical-mentholated sweetness of its stems and a new smell of pure marijuana dankness.
Yesterday, on the 21st of October, I harvested Panama #4 and Zamaldelica. Zam was quite heavy
There were strong winds that broke a few more of Thai's branches. I hope at least the central cola survives till harvest, heh.
And by the way, I like very much the high of Panama #5. It's less than 10 days from chopping and the high is already great. Strong and dense, yet very refreshing and uplifting. Just like Haze, it's neither heavy/sedating, nor speedy, feels completely neutral on the body, all in the head. It can hit really strong with dose, yet is always comfortable and enojoyable, and however dense/dreamy the effect feels at times, I can always easily refocus and stay focused on daily activities, a true quality sativa effect.
Panama #4, on the other hand, has a high similar to the Panama I grew last year - too dreamy and relaxed. The high of the immature samples was better - more clean and giggly, but with maturation (even though I harvested early) the effect became heavier. Lets see how much curing will help.
And with the impressing clear Zamaldelica high, I'm grateful and happy of this year's harvest, even if the Thai doesn't make it. Two high quality sativas - a speedy clear one (Zam) and an emotional one (P#5), perfect.
Compared to them, the rest of the harvest feels weak and boring (NepalJam and Sweet Tooth) or dirty and boring (SSSDH, Stardawg, P #4). The SSSDH, too, had a promising high in the beginning of flowering (speedy and clean) but became powerful and dirty like a typical SSH with maturation. However, the SSSDH is an amazingly-flavorful thick-smoke weed that is a pleasure to smoke, especially with friends with high tolerance, who like thick heavy smoke
I don't how i didn't find this earlier, but this is a magnificent thread yoss33. I'll be catching up on the reading soon. Very nice work and i like your selections.
Hey Yoss33,
Very good read again. Hope the new effects and Aromas are for your liking, they all look great . After reading i straight went to ace´s page to look up the zamaldelica, might finish here too.
Best regards gemüse
Hey, 3rdEye, you are welcome Better late than never...
Gemüse, thanks again! I'm not sure how different are the regular and femizined Zamaldelicas that Ace sell now compared to the initial Zamaldelica release that this plant is from, but anyways, Zamaldelica is definitely worth a try if you are looking for strong mental and adrenaline effects without paranoia/heart/body.
Guys, I don't know why, but P#5 yielded as much as Stardawg (95g) + Sweet Tooth (130g) + SSSDH (110g) combined - 320g without the lower fluffiness! I didn't expect more than a cola on a stick from a plant on this spot. It had less direct sunshine (at least during veg) and less prepared soil, yet out-yielded any of these hybrids by a serious margin. How not to like a plant with the best effect and best yield? If only this plant was on my prime spot, I'd have a great stash for quite a few years..
The indicas/hybrids yielded enough for the purpose they were grown for - at least a year of medical edibles. I expected a higher yield from the Sweet Tooth + Stardawg + Nepal Jam trio, considering the efforts put into preparing the soil and cutting trees from the south side of this spot. Anyways, they'll make good medicine as they all have potency and no paranoia/heart side-effects.
The buds smell very nice and here's a bee that thinks the same
The plant often has other company just behind the fence next to it - a few goats who are regularly left by their owner in the neighbouring deserted property. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a little Thai food, hehe.
Hi there, people!
The Thai survived a few morning frosts, though not looking very happy. It seems more sensitive to cold than Haze, perhaps it contains no highland genes.
The next mornings will be a bit warmer, the days are generally sunny, so I hope it can gain some more yield.
Excuse the blurry photos but I took them too late in the afternoon and it was already dark.
Here's a quick update on the Thai. The morning frosts from a few days ago have damaged the plant but only a few lower branches that were broken are dying, the rest have survived. The plant will enjoy at least several nice sunny days, according to the forecasts.
