Oh yeah, I was thinking it was just a resistive load. You're right, the ballast/igniter is sized for a single lamp.

Thanks Pipedream!

Very nice...Suga. Beautiful lady you got there. Mine went 9.5 weeks. Strong smoke and Ultraphunky smell....not bad, mind you...just not a smell that you would relate with herb...kinda like dirty, wet socks, with menthol undertones. But not exactly like that. Very strange...indeed.

Whats up everyone!!!

Ive been soo busy with school, but just aced my online quiz, and passed my online maditory-college-english test. If I failed that, I fail college! Now that I have most of the weight off my shoulders, I came back to The Club, and whats this, 7 more pages to read through!! AH!

Suga your OB1's got pictures! Ill post soon tonight! They are on ay 52 flower.
Sorry I havent been documenting them more frequetly and posting on The Club.

I harvested one of my cw20 Nuclear Cloud sister clones, and they are the dankest weed I ever grew! I swear its the best shit ever.. so dank and solid, so sparkly and purple!

The funnny thing is, I took clones from Nuclear Cloud and her sister. Well I didnt label them. These three clones supposed to be from the sister, becuse I took more cuttings from the sister, they look like the sister, they finished faster just like the sister did. The flowers are danker and harder, but they look exactly like Nuclear Cloud's weed, just not fluffy. This I guess is because of the smaller growing enviroment. Okay, im not trying to say that these are pictures of Nuclear Cloud clones, but there is a 50/50 chance that it is NC, and now that im smoking on some, the stone is almost identical....
When compared side to side to my left over Nuclear Cloud weed, they look very much alike in color and form. The sister of NC looked nothing like the dried product of my clones... Who knows?!?! :sasmokin:

hey rasta thanks for sharing! you know aluminum foil isn't really the ideal reflector - much better just to paint those walls white with high temp spray paint or get some reflectex - that's an insulation type it looks like mylar but it is 1/4" thick with air bubbles in between kinda like bubble wrap but with mylar on the outside. that or just get some mylar at the hydro store.

Bulénath!
- I was thinking of you last night wondering how things were going - I'm glad they're good and can't wait to see some updated pictures of the ob1s - how's the smell from them? you may have missed it while you were busy so I'll say again that bonsai grower is growing out some of the ob1s - seedling stage right now.

HOTC
- what it be! - thanks for the kind words

browneyed
thanks for the kind words - I think I'll pull at 11 weeks ?!? I don't know - really in no rush this time so I may just see - the calyx are really swollen now which leads me to think she's just about done.

Sugabear's OB1 plants.

Sugabear's OB1 plants.

Pictures are from about day 45 or so...(1 week ago)

Indica pheno on the left, stativa #1 on the right.

Indica Pheno:

Stativa Pheno #2

Stativa Pheno #1 and ready to harvest cw20 bonsai in indentical pot and under same wattage. Amazing what LST can do for a plant eh? I didnt really LST the OB1.

Stativa Pheno#1 is the best of all of em so far...

Six OB1 clones, two from each plant. The big ones are 10 days ahead of the smaller ones! The root sprouting time had much variation for the clones.

:sasmokin: Suga they stink like fermenting pineapple ganja. :sasmokin:

You werent joken about the pineapple smell... It's very Dole/Hawaii plantation style.

cw20 harvest

cw20 harvest

I harvested this about 6 days ago. It was a slow process and took a few days total. She turned really purple toward the end, around day 85ish...

I harvest two more of these tomorow or the next day! Im suspecting the OB1's are getting chopped two weeks after that. Im a happy camper:)

yeah boy thats what I was hoping to hear! the rotten fruit smell comes from the oregon90 and the pine is from the burmese - I just keep looking at the pictures and they look great - I'm thinking the sat #2 is going to be the 12 week one. And the sativa #1 looks like the bomb - I don't think I got that pheno - looks really good at 45 days - I can't imagine what she must look like now

and get this, the soil I re-used with no ammendments...
I just added Pure Blend Pro. I wonder how much of an improvement fresh soil would have made...
Thanks Suga, your plants are very pretty.

rasta - I'll let the soil experts chime in if they have more to add... but in my experience there is no need to feed soil plants until they are 2-3 weeks old. There's plenty of nutrients in your soil for the first stages of growing - I'd wait until they're much bigger and showing some signs of need (i.e. pale green color). Overfeeding/feeding seedlings too early is a common mistake that new growers make.

as for the light - 1.5' is probably just fine - you don't want to kill them - I personally always go for the daylight floros for vegging.

oh and the reflectix stuff is available at home depot - kinda expensive to buy a big package but still no need to go to worms way - some places (smaller hardware stores)will sell it by the foot too.

What is in your soil mix?

Yellowing leaves on seedlings is more likely a sign of overwatering than of nutrient deficiency.

fwiw - epsom salts can be found in the pharmacy section - cvs or riteaid would have it too.

rasta here is what MyNameStitch has to say about overwatering. His guide to sick plants can be found here

and also as a link in the official link o rama (last link in my sig)

Over watering

Over watering is one of the biggest mistakes new growers make, reason for this is, because they feel the need to give there plant everything and will overdue a lot of things and one of them is over watering. By over watering your plant you soak the roots so much, they can’t get enough oxygen and slowly die. The plant shows signs of over watering by: Wilting, droopy look, yellow and or dead leaves falling off, which includes leaves that don’t look dead falling off. One of the best ways to tell how NOT to over water is by, picking up the pot when it is dry and then picking up the pot after you water. (This is a reason why it’s smart to use light pots.) When you water, you want to water just enough to where you see a bit of water coming out of the bottom, not gushing or pouring out. Just enough to see a little bit, then you know the plant has enough water. To prevent over watering you can either: add more perlite to your soil, add hydrogen peroxide to your water for extra oxygen, all the while killing bacteria if any in the soil. After watering, wait a few days to water. Mj plants like a good watering and then a couple days to dry out in between watering. So it’s very easy to over water. Besides the weight of the pot, another way to test if your plant needs water is to stick your index finger a couple inches into the soil. If the soil at the tip of your finger feels almost dry, then it's time to water again. The top of the soil should be allowed to dry out between waterings if it's still moist the plant does NOT need watered. You can also use a moisture meter which will tell you the level of moisture down in the soil. You can buy them at most garden supplies or hydro shops.
..

edit: That's a great guide with pictures to go through and look at if you are having any problems with your plants. I really like the wait until it is nearly as light as when you first filled the container with your mix rule of thumb as it works with all container sizes

pro-mix will be fine - it is made for professional greenhouses where they just root those little plants that then get sold at your local garden center....

when you transplant you may wish to cut that mix with some extra perlite - like 1/3 more - homedepot or what not should have it - it lightens the soil and your plants will love it for the extra o2 to the roots - now if you had some worm castings well boy you'd be all set.
