Bulenath: What setup and how many plants was that 150g harvest from? I'm weighing getting a 150w hps; and if its going to get me results like yours, I won't wait another day to order one, lol.

My veg seems to be taking forever. I'm starting to wonder if scrog is really worth my time. I usually switch to 12/12 as soon as I'm showing roots and would have been 30 days into flower by now with a sog. I can't help but think that at the end of the year I'm missing out on yield.

All I can say is "Thank god I'm not a girl" With the pics and results I'm seeing from Bule, Q ba, sug, & invision I'd be sliding off my chair and F-ing up my back even worse than it is. Congrats and true respect for jobs well done. And to think, I was worried how we could possibly raise the bar if I had this thread made into a STICKY.

Depending on shipping costs yes that is a great price. I bought mine at Princess Auto for $65 Canadian ... cash no mailing address...you might want to compare to a local electrical supplier before ordering. But you are on the right track. Home dump sells them for about 100 bucks and the local electrical stores usually sell them as just the ballast and bulb super cheap.

Light: 150hps mougal base
Medium: 33% each perlite/wormcasting/black gold organic soil
Ferts: Pure blend pro
Flowering time: 133 days
Strain: Its now extinct!
The econolight your looking to buy is very popular. But you will have to buy the ballast casing and a few other things. In the end, I believe its the most inexpensive way to go, cause your making it your self. The floralux mini I just bought works good ao far and is very professional looking. I paid $100 + shipping. But the damn bulb burned out after a month, maybe a manufacture problem. Hope you buy a light soon!

gday all 
i dont know too much about lights, ive only grown with a 400WATT HPS light. i was thinking about using a 150 watt hps light for veg but im finding them hard to get a hold of where i live, so ive got a question (since you guys sound like gurus )
is a "HID" light a "halogen" light?
and can you veg under them?
what is a 150 watt light other than fluro thats easy to get a hold of and good for veg?

Yes you can veg under the 150 - most people here use it from start to finish or use smaller compact floroscents for veg.
See the front page for a few places that you can order a 150 from. There is also a complete 150 sold now by hydro shops under the name floralux. These usually can be had for around $100 plus shipping.

Hello all, I am beginning flowering on a beatiful Ice female. I am using a 150w hps and my plant is living it. I know a 150w is more than enough for my one plant, but how many plants can be grown without sacrificing density and resin output? Please get back when you get a chance.

neem oil, make sure sprayed under leaves aswell, repeat after 5 days, rinse off with fresh water after 5 days, check plants under leaves, should be sorted if not repeat, NO CHEMICALSstevr59 said:
Philly Green depends on growing style and cab size -if you're growing all plants starting 12/12 at the same time I think 2 plants scrogged to a max of 4 plants works well for a 150. But remember this is the female plants - so you may if growing from seed start flower with 6 or more plants to whittle down to the keepers.
Now if you're going perpetual or a staggered harvest that's a whole nother story.
Bulénath I was just looking at the ob1s and they look alright they'll recover from the transplant well and take off - this cross being an f1 is pretty vigorous - another friend did a two outdoors and had to top them before they grew over the fence and flower hadn't started yet - unfortunatly he had to pull them after 35 days of flower - security issue.... anyways your's look real nice - good structure they all look fairly uniform - are they in the old 150 cab?
so I fired up the 150 today to veg some dirty Mothers I Like to Flower (MILFs) - yes you see dirt in my garden - but not for long I've been keeping these to give to somebody who is starting back up. I'll take clones and put them in rw cubes for myself

i tranplanted them before it got to late i know i should have earlier but how i did it kept me safe, i transplanted in complete dark.....yup.....no lights.....but they never took shock either.....i rock
anyways the new pots could only house 4 plants so that sucked but i put her in the cloning box back under veg until i need her.

sugabear ... i got a chuckle out of MILFS, by the way ... how much stuff is running off your intermatic timer ? i have now burnt out 2 Woods timers and 1 Intermatic timer ( the $12.00 units) . i run everything off it ( 1 x 150hps, 2 x 23cfl, 1 bathroom fan, and 2 x 12v comp. fans ). i know that many people have used them for many successful grows, but i have also read many posts regarding their VERY short life-spans. by the way, Intermatic also makes a REALLY nice 40Amp, painted steel unit that runs for 50.00 cdn. at home depot. thats the route i am going because i am averageing 1 timer per grow ... not economical or safe IMO.
hey green grow I just have the 150 running off of the intermatic - the fan and the floro tubes are on 24/7.
I really don't like this mechanical intermatic heavy duty as it doesn't keep very good time, I used it for part of my first grow and the on time would drift by 10mins every week. Now I just use that as a spare.
I'm not sure if this is because the mechanical intermatics keep time based upon the ac herz, but that is what I suspect
Since the first grow I been usina a digital 7 day 14 program intermatic (I only use one program 12/12!!) - it was $20 and is currently controlling my 400. With battery backup you never loose time.

i would have gone digital except for the fact that the cfl package said NOT to use them with digital timers. no idea whether the tubes are supposed to be safe with digital timers or not. now that you mention it, my timers were a little wonky at keeping time, too . i always thought it was becasue i was bumping them !

Nice pics Invision, should be a pretty nice harvest if all goes well; plants are looking nice and healthy.
On a side note my 150w hps comes tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited, but since I'm used to fluorescents, I don't know how far I should space it from the plants. So, what would you guys recommend as a safe distance to start at?
