Hey Suga...great to hear from ya...*stands at attention.... I'm not sure about the LUI as of yet cause it's the first run with her. But so far they seem promising for minimal stretch...I was told when looking for a strain how these won't stretch after 2 days into flower and so far that's true. 14/15 popped with 4 females and 11 males scared me a little. But hey...I have 4 moms. My last run with Cali O #1 was 10/10 popped 9 females 1 male ...after 2 runs lost her to a heat spell...arrgh..a friend still has her going though so I want to add it back ...as for buds...the LUI started showing sugar almost right away and I can't wait to see how she smokes...I'll let her go all the way and then back off next run if it turns out to be a "Day Ender" The Cali O I remember to be like a super sticky sponge bud that made me wanna switch sticks and play Jazz...ha Thanks for the idea of flip/flop switch...I'll file that in the memory for when the day comes I do try and build the Wall of Pound....peace

I know this is the 150 watt users here.but is there any body here doing a 100watt hps grow if so can one you please post a link where to look.my friend got a hold of a 100watt hps sun system micro light.can something be done with this light looking to grow 3 small plants or even 2 plants what are you opions? thank's

Just got up and have yet to read through the posts....
Carlos check out the first page of this thread. There is a link to econolight where you can buy a 100hps. Also on the first page is a link to re-wiring it for a grow. If you cant figgure it out, we will be happy to help.
Yes you can get great results with the 100. I have seen teh 70HPS club and they had some awsome results. I believe 1-1/2+ oz's per harvest at best. They grow in computer cases! (the big ones).

This one is marketed under the name "Regent", but the name on the instructions and housing says "Cooper". Case reads Red is "Load", White is "Neutral" and Black is "Line". Using a grounded extension cord, the ground wire is connected to metal case, the hot to Black, neutral to White. Will I be able to ID the wires to match when I strip the rubber from the extension cord wires? Again, muchos gracias.

When you strip the extension cord there should be black/white/green wire that will match to your ballast.
The Line is AC hot (black), Neutral is AC neutral (white) and the red (load) goes to the bulb (or ignitor, then bulb). Green is ground.
Your previous assumptions are correct.
If this does not line up like you think it should, come back and check with me before you wire it up. When are you planning to do this?

I've used aluminum heating duct (rigid) to make a reflector. Just split it along the seam and spread it open to the correct angle. Mounting the bulb depends on your socket. Paint the reflecting side white.
Search for DIY reflector. I'm sure there is tons of info on this forum.

Suga, I have yet to fire up the HPS, so I cant say if its quiet just yet. I wana let it run for a while to really check for noise. But its taken apart! give me a while. Oh yeah, I overlooked your massive picture posts a few pages back... I gota read through again... Sorry man im slackin!
Anyway the new U2 is going to work out. I finnaly thought of a fool proof plan. It will be a chamber with 2.2 square feet and a thick glass shild to cut back on intensity.
And also a funcitonable stealth dryer!! Will return soon keep up the great work!

Has anybody yielded 1gpw with a 150w HPS? What's the highest someone from these forums has gotten? That's definitely a goal for me, I know I won't come anywhere near that with this harvest, I'm shooting for .3gpw on my first run, and I'm not that confident.
1gpw seems like it'd be possible in a setup like the barrel of green, where the light is hung vertically and a screen is placed in a circle around the light, maximizing the lumen usage.

I can't swear to it because most of my grows have been staggered harvests. However, a few grows back I did all seeds started at the same time. While they finished on different days over a two week period, I know I got close to an ounce even on the worst plant. Given that I grow 6 plants at a time, a little basic math says I was just about there.
I'm thinking about modifying my cabinet a little, so that I could have the light hanging vertically, and in the middle of a cube that is about 12" tall and each side is a little over 12" wide. The light would be right in the middle, and I'd have three plants. The fourth side of the cube would be the back wall, used for ventilation. I've been drawing up some sketches today. I think on my next run I'll veg out a few plants, then take some cuttings and get a couple plants on each of the three surfaces. I've still got to think about it, but I don't think it would require too much difference in my cab. A couple more holes, a cool tube, some 2"x1"s, some chicken wire, and one more PC fan.
bounty29 this czech guy named Prenda used to consistently pull 140-150 grams per harvest in soil and had a friend who pulled 170 in hydro with a barell of green technique. I think there are some pictures here - basically two big tubs - the kinds with rope handles stacked one on top of the other open to form a chamber bottom with soil/hydro and circular scrog, and top had bulb exhaust. He'd drop 4 clones of some bog stuff in there and be harvesting 140-150 grams every 45 days or so. So that takes the cake for single harvest from the 150.
The alternative as pipedream does is to harvest more plants over a period of time in a staggered harvest - with a little extra floor space you can rotate the plants into the brightest part of the cab as they get closer to maturity.
Also Bulenath has pulled very good numbers with some real long flowering sativas.
I found my best numbers were when I had plants ready to go into flower so I could keep the 150 cab humming along at 12/12 24/7. This way strain dependent I think I was getting maxed at 100 grams every 2 months.
Anyways the cube idea is interesting. I remember prendas vertical setup was around 20" diameter for the screen to keep things from getting burnt. 12" might be pushing it, but could work with cool tube.

Right now my bulb is 6" from the canopy in the closest spots, bare bulb, and I can get the back of my hand within an inch of the bulb without even really feeling a significant amount of heat. I've got some stuff to do, but I'll definitely update everyone on my grow as it progresses. I remember seeing those pictures of the barrel of green though, that's where I got the idea for the cube.

Hello 150 club. 
Have had a CRAZY weekend and have some good news and some bad news.......
The good news.....Out of the 4 BMR....2 ladies and 2 fellas, The runt and the most vigorous growing/stinkiest were males.
They are no longer with us. So the two ladies are basking for the moment under the 150.... but will be moved soon due to a minor security breech......I'm sure it's really nothing.....but better safe than sorry. SO....I'm gonna snag another U2/U1 combo and move these ladies to another location with a trusted friend so they can finish up and I can have my piece of mind......and sleep. I plan to use a flouro set up until they finish... I can put enough CFL's in there to do the job. (42W) And use my mini-lasko blower for ventilation. Prolly have to use PVC intakes....This needs to be done in a hurry.
The Bad News:
Safe Addy Burned.
Got the letter....lost my DJS BLUEBERRY. F*CK. And to send the tension a little further up......still have a BLOCKHEAD floatin' around out there....runnin' late...but there's still hope for it.... It's usually 7-10 days and their here... I've always had great service from seedbay...they came thru plenty of times.....and this is not their fault.... but it's stressin' me a tad bit.....so their headed to another home.....temporarily.
Life goes on....I'll get another safe addy.....just takes some time....I have plenty of killer genetics in the mean time.. Which are headed to my other location as well......Call me paranoid....but if this is what it takes for me to keep my piece of mind and be able to sleep at night.... Gotta be saftey first.. I'll still see them as least once a week.......and can still update pics...so it's cool.

Thanks for the kind words.....and the skinny on the buckets....I think I wanna do a recirculating or flood/drain in here...maybe later....the soil is working beautifully for the time being.....
As far as the light coverage with the cool tube....because of it's placement, and my ghetto reflector....it covers the entire cab.
Mine is directly across from where yours was.....but turned slightly to the left back corner....the bulb is closer to the center of the cab....but not perfectly centered....it works just fine.
Well.......... between work, getting a box built and getting these girls moved.... I'll be real busy for the next few days.....
