Good lookin scrog, BC. All you scroggers are really makin me jealous with your crazy yields.

Here are some pics of my girls now. I'm having some trouble with the soil mix, so there's lots of deficiencies.

The ladies still look great to me!!! what sort of soil mix do you use? believe it or not but I am using plain old shultz organic soiless bought at Wal-mart..it has no added nutes, only beneficial bacteria mixed in...I've used it for 4 grows now with no probs..
hope you get everything sorted out but your plants do look great bro!!

Thanks, man. I was mostly just embarrassed because your girl is a picture of green healthiness haha

The bag soil is 'Gardeners Gold', I think their master gardener mix. It's the only one they carry at my shop. There is also a good amount of compost from outside; I ran out of soil like half way through transplant... Cause I'm dumb haha

They are 41ish days from 12/12. About 30 days of actual flower. I'll try and be more diligent in my picture posting, I hope you all do the same. I've learned so much from this thread in the past few months, I think it might be time for me to officially apply for membership in the 150w club.

Good growing, friends.

Ive read every page in this thread and it seems like the general idea is that if you have a 150 hps and you grow with it and lurk and/or post in this thread then you are in the 150 club!

I am going to get some more pics ready to post so I can show you guys my cab setup and some current plants I have going. I havent posted my cabinet yet on here and I have only 2 pics from the last grow uploaded so not much stuff to look at yet from me but Ill get some up here soon for sure! Gotta keep ourselves entertained now after all!

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to BC Chronic again

Very nice, BC

blwd67 - your buds are nice and big. Best wishes with your harvest.

If you don't mind me asking, when do you plan to chop? At this stage, your plants might weather any (potential) imperfection.

If you need a month or longer, EC/ppm and or pH runoff measurements might indicate whether you're problem is in the soil (lockout) - or - nute dosage is too low.

I think they have at least four more weeks until they'll be ready to come down. Buds are pretty big, but I figure they will swell and fill out allot more. Honestly man, checking runoff is something I've never done. I don't have a pen, just some spa strips I use to test new water sources. I'll give it a try, see what it says.

I think my water is too hard and I didn't feed em for a bit too long when I switched to 12/12. I'm watering and feeding with distiller water ~6.8 pH, but for a while I didn't have the option and had to use tap. It gave me problems early on with calcium, which I eventually figured out. So, I think I've got lockouts and deficiencies, and no idea what is which haha. The compost was in no way scientific, so I really am just trying to get the hang of listening to my plants.

I'm feeding with Neptune's Harvest Fish & Seaweed mix, and for the most part all I gave in veg was some kelp meal.

But yeah, they look big in pictures, but my crappy iPhone camera can't show you in detail how much they still need to dense up.

SOG. Around these parts it is commonly known as the 'Dr. Bud Method' after a poster who inspired many people to try the technique. I usually call it a super dense Sea of Green.

I had 30-50 plants in 2 square feet of space around a single 150w bulb.

I also did an entire run in 16oz party cups.

So basically it is just SOG in tiny containers and as you can see, the buds don't seem to mind so much :]

If you are only using one 150hps with nothing else in the cab and going dr bud sog I would probably suggest the 18x16 to keep the distance from the bulb to sides of cab to a minimum. This way you should get a little more light intensity at the edges of the cab. Its hard to say though for sure but either one would work well I think because you can easily (and should) rotate your plants around in the cab so each one gets to be in the sweet spot occasionally. An example of what i mean is say you have 5 rows of 3 plants every day take the row from the far right out scoot all the plants over to the right and put the row you took out on the left so you keep the plants moving around the cab. That way every few days different plants will be in the center of the cab under the light where the lumens are more intense. More consistent yield per plant and probably a better yeild overall!

The cab I just posted pictures of actually is 16''x18''. 28.5'' tall.

One should not rotate plants with a vertical a grow. I had to take mine out to water them, but If I would preferred to have kept them fixed in their spots. The bottom line is the yield is more without rotating the plants around a vertical bulb even if this seems counter intuitive.

New 150 hps+160 cfl clone grow - SD x SKK

Time for update. Here's recent clone harvest in jars with added stem as I left jars open all night after passing out from smoking too much. :)
picture.php

And here's four StrawberryDeisil x SugarKaneKush and one LemonSkunk x StrawberryCheesil clones on the right in 5 weeks of 12/12 along with eight PC vegged SD X SKK clones on left just transplanted into 3 liter pots and cut for even more clones:headbange as the SD X SKK bud is impressive.
picture.php

Look in my album https://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=23428 to see the 4 SD X SKK and 1 LS X SC clones budding .. they were 2 inch rooted clones put in 12/12 after transplant into 2 liter pots.

Stay safe and stay stoned crew .. :smoker:

Hey, guys, quick question: what is the most effective method for determining harvest time without having to buy a jewelers loop? I've read a bit and have a general idea, but I'm still not sure.

The reason I ask is because the Ice has started formin red hairs while the other girl still has all white. All the guides I've read say that the pistals should be mostly red, but not brown, at harvest. If this is true then the Ice looks like she's about finished. That's cool with me, but it is wicked early if I go by the recommended flower time. It's been a bit over 4 weeks and Ice is supposed to run 8-10 weeks.
