I found a fan through another thread here on ICMAG and decided it was good enough to share with the 150w community. I found these fans on ebay and they come out to about $20CAD after shipping. It uses a turbine instead of a propeller so light leak issues are minimal. The maker of this fan is Evercool and it was designed to fit in the cd/dvd bay or your computer (5.25in drive).

pipedream : sorry to hear about the testes . you may not be in the mood for it, but i saw a thread a few days back showing some cool pics of all kinds of male plants . anyways, my condolences.
eLigul : on paper, there's a lot to like about that fan ... runs on 12v and looks like it has variable speed . i would like to hear from someone who has tried one out .

its one of the things i have to get used to. btw im the next up to join this club, micro grow with a 150whps on the way. the space is limited at 18"x25"x36 but im sure i can make something happen. have 3 MOD menage, 2 LOC X G13, and 3 jack herer x white rhino under cfls waiting for light delivery. pics to follow shortly.

cool fan eligul - dayton does make bigger ones like that - I've seen them used on blowers for fireplace inserts - long and usually pretty quiet but capable of moving some air for sure.

Hey IC hows it goin?? Im new here, but have been a gc member 4 a bit. I made my way over here and looked round and luved it, especially this thread and some of the DIYs, I really like the large family feel. so let me give ya my garden specs, I have a cab with a flower room, clone/mother room, i did have a 400, but since switching to the cab I changed over to CFL's, I have elvis diesel growing perpetual, (just got some NL#5 X BB and should soon have the oregon medical mj cup winner) So, i am considering changin my cab over to a 150hps within the next week or 2 and addn 4 cfl's probably daylight to even out spectrum (probably 4 23 watters, 1 in each corner) since u guys have experience with the 150's I was wondern what ya thought bout the 150's (obviously ya like em) and do u guys think I could do a 12 plant SOG (a true SOG just a cola no lst, fimm or top) I want to put 4 plants in every 3 weeks so as to keep it perpetual. could the 150 with bout 100 watts cfl manage a 12 plant sog? Thanx 4 any help u can give me... and by the way love the thread, I think u'll c me alot more here, especially once I get the 150 Peace

Pipedream...my condolences for your loss. Was that male the sole survivor of that stash of Sata Nash seeds the Mrs came across in the luggage? Might be time for a new sativa strain to grace that cab of yours (I might be able to help in that regard). Might want to consider collecting some pollen though if your interrested in keeping some of that strains genetics. Might be useful in a breeding experiment later.

I hope/pray that with democratic leadership in this country we can start to look at legalization for personal use. The science to justify legalization is finally at a point where it's hard to deny. I don't agree with the amount and the use of state land in their operation...they deserved to get caught in my opinion. Unfortunately these bozos give those of us who grow for personal use a bad image.

KranKo - Welcome aboard. If you do a real single cola SOG you can keep 12 plants going for sure. That was my old method I used years ago before I made the permanent switch to hydro.
Hawaiian - Yes, that was the end of them. I thought about letting it flower, but I know the Strain is still available and untainted from its original source. Of course, it would require a bit of a trip to get them.

in the veg. cab . ...
those are 2 satoris in 1 quart (?) pots . they are just over 1 month old. small, but bushy little things . they are growing in a ferted soilless mix that i copied from BurnOnes instructions over at the organic thread . having seen the growth rate that hydro growers get, i am leaning that way for future grows, but for now, still messing around with both soil and soilless.

Just curious i built a computer case shade and bought a 150 wt hps, but just don't know how high it should be from the plants?? Just don't want to run it with not knowing the right height for it. Thanks for replys
