hi Sugar, yea the leaves on mine are fine.

Its the Growth of the stems that is 3 instead of 2 offshoots I have 3 up the whole branch. its interesting

That's good, 50% more budsites from each node right? I've seen a few pictures of plants like this, are yours doing it at every node or just some?

oh hey sorry - I guess I didn't look at the picture closely enough - what you have I believe is called a tripoliod or something like that. Supposed to yield more, etc..

if you're into reading obscure threads there's one out in the ether (internet that is) about sam the skunk man (sometimes the thread is a friend of mine) using colchicine to treat cannabis and then the resultant seeds were grown out and well most of them died a few lived and showed this tripiloid growth pattern - - it all goes way back to this thing some guy did in the 50 or 60s using colchicine (used to treat gout by the way) to increase thc and claimed he had done so - but he was doing a study and using fish to test the thc levels (they didn't have the gas chromotography used these days for thc numbers) and recording an increase in the number of dead fish as an increase in thc... yadda yadda as you can see I read way too much crapola

oh and then there was this guy who was selling tripiloid seeds online for like $10,000 per 10 pack - claiming more yield and more weight - oh I wish I could find a link... gimme a minute... hey I found it - not sure if this link will come up so I'll put in copy in the text - he's actually now asking for $20,000 canadain per 10 pack :fsu:

Triplenode var.Tavares

Indoor/Outdoor

New genetics that are being introduced to the marijuana world. Triplenode grows with triple nodes on each nodular intersection from seedling. These genetics have been selectively bred to enhance this new mutation into the next generation. Triple nodular growth will result in much denser bud production and more budding sites. 50% more bud. 50% more hash. 50% more oil. 50% more rope or fibres. Very rare genetics and never seen before. As rare as the main attraction in every zoo around the world (white panda, albino Tiger etc..). Genetically enginered and modified naturally without any chemicals. Increase your profits 50% more. Works great in "Scrog" (screen of green). Fills up the screen very well. More "scrog" less plants ! This batch of seeds came from a seedling mother with 12 triplenodes high, from germination. Blew me away, as I was very impressed that the growing pattern continued up to the 12th node. The Triplenode is a very thirsty plant that loves wet roots which would be great for "flood tables" as well, due to the plants ability to absorb an unbelievable amount of water through its root system. World wide discovery done here in the good old "Steel City" (Hamilton). From Hamilton's breeding laboratory and now available to the world. Latest evolution of marijuana domestication (year 2006). First topping will result in triple the tops, more than what we are all used to. Once you go Triplenode you'll never go back. The sky is the limit (Ricky Tavares). Good Luck !!

Growing tip: Top seedling after last triplenode (5-12th node).

Payment procedures: Make multiple money orders total $20,000.00 . Any overpayment will be contributed to the Cancer Research Centre. Thank you.

$20,000.00 Canadian funds (10 seeds)

as you can see this whole tripiloid thing is well steeped in mystery and rumor so be aware when you get responses on the subject...

as with most stuff you read it's worth about as much as it costs to post it...

I'd pretty much agree with you - looks like a boy - but I'd wait a few more until you're sure for sure before you kill it - there won't be pollen spilling for a few more days anyways....

wow thank you Sugar. Let me see if I can get a better picture

Anyways my questions were as follows:

1) 30% humidity since veg, Can not get any higher then 38ish with Misting the plant on lights on. Is this problem huge enough that I should rebuild a wood box instead of using my current "premade" enclosure? Also, is Misting bad during early flower to try and bring the humidity up a little more around 40%?

2) Heat is never above 86 F anymore, at night its around 75%. Again, is this stress enough to rebuild a new cab? I show no real signs of heat stress that I can tell, if anything this NLxAfh (Aurora Indica) has been a very very tough plant and put up with a lot of my abuse.. wondering if I tried any other strain if it would be a bigger problem.

3) I think I already know this answer after I read through a few pages more, but I have a 150 w/ glass shield, the plant is always with in 3 inches of the plant (no curled tips / burn leaves so I leave it) but I am curious if under the canopy I should add this 6500 35w CFL, is ANY grow light better then correct spectrum lights? (meaning blue spec 35w and hps better then just an hps in flowering?)

And last but not least!

There is like 3 or 4 bud sites at the bottom of the plant, they get minimal light, but im not even 26 days into flower and I am wondering if I should wait to remove these bud sites to stimulate growth higher up, or wait until later in the plants life to make this decision?

Thanks you guys, hands down best site ive lurked on since I never got the chance to know about OG before it went down. I wish I had been apart of what seem to be a great community im only happy I talked myself into doing it here. Met a bunch of great people.

Alright, finally got my camera cable. It was in the trunk of my car :badday:

I just about finished my new 150 cabinet, which, if all goes well this round, may turn into a 150hps/100mh cabinet. (Only $60 shipped, it just depends on how well my ventilation is.)

4" Vortex 172cfm
8"x8" Darkroom Louver
150w HPS (Medium size) for flowering (maybe veg too)
60w CFL (might add more) for seedlings and clones
DIY Cool Tube
DIY Carbon Scrubber

20" wide x 15" deep x 71" tall

Rasta - NICELY DONE, and the great results and rewards for the effort are yours. I well remember the feeling of my first successful harvest, and that was likely before you were even born. Continued success my friend!

Rasta - Nice harvest, those plants look like my first ones did. Were yours bagseed? That bud should keep you happy for a while :rasta:

So I decided I didn't like the cooltube I built, it was unstable, too long, and a reflector would've been a nuisance. So I decided to scrap it and try to build my own hood. I went to Home Depot at about 7am this morning, spent about 45 minutes there making sure to get all the things I needed, and came home and put it together. It took about 5 hours of very casual work, taking breaks and checking the forums, getting some food, etc. Anyways, here's the result.

I'm very happy with it, now I just have to get a piece of glass for it and figure out a way to mount the glass to the hood. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe two L brackets on the front and back and just slide the glass in, and secure it all along the edges with foil tape? I wish these plants would start growing already, :hotbounce :hotbounce :hotbounce

lol, yeah they'll steal a little light. I'm not too worried about it though, because I'm running at about 75wpsf, and the reflector works really well. My first grow the only reflector I had was the ceiling, so this is quite a step up. Besides, I think with all air cooled hoods the light will get into the ducting somehow. That doesn't bother me, but if it were to get out of the ducting it might be an issue. (It doesn't.)

Nice reflector man. Its making me want to invest in something a little less basic that what I've got. Corner brackets sound like they would work great if the metal the reflector is made out of is strong enough/wont bend.

On another note, some seedlings in my computer desk cabinet:

Thanks . I think I'll be starting in September. The seedlings in there right now are just for a little for-fun late outdoor grow.
