126 Watt LED Test Featuring Ice

It is clear to me that LED tech is finally at a decent level where you can grow real buds and not the thinned out wide node spacing that we have all seen many many times.. in previous grows with LED. Both yourself and hazy are seeing the same types results, and that seals the deal for me..

The plants look great, fill out nice and the light sure makes for interesting photo shots!!!what does a unit like this retail for??How hot does it get??

Thanks for the test sleepy, it is nice to see the real potential of LED tech.--oh. and.. happy birthday pal!

Happy belated b-day Sleepy! Hey - I had a thought. What if the LEDs produce similar or even greater yields - but the flowering time is increased by - say - 1/3? That would mean they will take longer - and any energy savings may be reduced. I was thinking that your buds may run longer than with HID Sleepy.

Thanks for taking the time to do a real test Sleepy..... I didn't think they would match the good old HPS, but they do seem to do a nice job for a small scale smoker that wants to hide things.

I hope you enjoyed your days fishing..... It's coming towards mayfly season for Trout where I am so fun to be had!!!

Wait, what? I'm growing cows! ...well, just one of em....fuckin married her...lol...this is a great thread. Obviously LEDs aren't as good as a HPS for flowering but they are coming close and are definitely adequate as long as you have 50-60+w minimal...I would think 3 100w LED pannels would be more useful than 1 300w LEd but that's just my opinion...though I would think that a few 100 or 200w LEds a few feet a part would do well for a grow room....but I will keep looking at LED threads before spending any real money. So far I have 3 14w LED's I got by accident and 1 50w LED, so I will use them all together and it should make a decent area for clones or some small hydro projects. For now I am relying on my 2 400w HPS's for the majority of light...with some 45w cfls for suplimental light...this is a great thread

Any final weigh in? Interested to see what you pulled.

I was stoned the other night and kind of hi-jacked the thread a bit. My apologies. Just wanted to make a quick statement and it got out of hand. :dunno:

The WTF was my reaction to typing and posting and response, but nothing showed up on the forum. I then replied with the WTF and looked and my first response was there. My bad!

Looking good Sleepy. I tried a lesser LED and things look like they are going better for you. One thing I noticed is the plants needed to be closer tot he lights with the LEDs and buds over 2 ft away barely happened. I think your small set up with the low canopy is looking good, it keeps the buds close to the light and focuses on just big colas. I got some of those ICE seeds as well I need to fire up one of these days too.
