what else, i've done some work in the bloom room. after remarking to inverse that i couldn't drill holes in walls or closet doors, i realized i could cut a hole in the insullation separating the two sides and just vent the bloom into the veg. haha can't believe i didn't think of it before. here's what it looks like:



i had to get a little creative to stop the light from coming through... here's what i ended up doing:



the end is not up against the wall, its just curved back to face the wall to stop the light. works great. :joint:

oh, and i looked around the house to see if i could put together a screen... ("in the ghettooooo..." lol)





i put three super ice two week olds under her, but to be honest i don't really know what i'm doing. i'm gonna try and read up a bit on scrog's so we'll see if i stick with it or just cut the damn thing off.

alright, that's about it. found out why my stems were red, or at least what could have been causing it. the big bud, or molasses or something was bringing the ph down to 5. can't believe i hadn't checked it yet. but all is well now.

here's the "two cups of coffee" version



well, i looked at the trichs today on the LST'd chrystal... starting to get about 10% amber. should come down by friday.

i believe i got the drying/curing process down. maybe it sounds a little non-traditional, but this last batch of super ice went three days hanging up til the outside of the buds were brittle, then into glass jars for about six hours til they are moist again, then into paper bag for a day or so being burped, then back into jars to finish out for a few more days with regular burping, depending on the moisture levels. the bud smells great, has a good texture, and the taste is the way bud should taste (think i got the flush down too), all in less than a week.

in fact, it smells so good i'm gonna smoke a bowl right now. and btw this super ice is definitely one to pull early. very, very stony at fifty/fifty trichs. :abduct: haha probably end up just holding on to the chrystal, its been a bigger producer and i prefer the headier high.

looking great man. just browse through your entire grow for the first time. was a nice 5.5g cola bud you got a couple weeks ago... and that chrystal is looking dank, loaded with trichs.

ive been having some yellowing/loosing of fan leaves and havent gotten an edge on it... maybe it's over-watering. alot had to do with nitrogen deficency too i believe - but that gives me another angle to consider.

ive been considering a scrog or sog for my next grow. i LST'ed my entire 1st grow, which worked well. but this time around in soil i just let the girls grow how they would... and my canopy is no where near as even as i would prefer it to be. ill be keeping an eye on your progress. looking great though man! feel free to stop by and check out my current soil - it's in my sig.

i would definitely check the watering. make sure they get nice and dry before watering again. if you haven't heard of the "lift the pot" technique, it is the best i found for telling when to water. there's a link somewhere on my thread... if not just do a search. very helpful read. i went from watering once a day to every three or so days, and the plants took off. (plus much less maintenance! lol) that was the end of the yellowing pretty quickly. you can't get back what is already gone, but it will stop the process and get the nutrient uptake back to regular. i'll stop by and check out your grow fo sho.

just a quick question for everyone. well, firstly here's my piece:



i'm wondering if someone could tell me what a properly flushed bowl of ash looks like... is this white enough? tastes good but i want to make sure i'm flushing long enough:



what do you think?

alright everyone, its harvest time again!!!! :woohoo:

here is the Chrystal lady. veg'd four weeks, lst'd the last two and the first week of bloom. was in bloom for just over eight weeks. good ol' T5's.













i can't hardly believe it. i tried to manicure as all one plant but it just wasn't happening. lol can't wait to see what weight i get after drying.

and here's the Super Ice, veg'd for six weeks, LST'd, and now been in bloom for seven weeks. (Super Ice takes another week or so more than the chrystal)







that's it for today. think after running these last few super ice's through i'm gonna get rid of it. good stuff, i just like the chrystal better, and its actually been a heavier producer in spite of having more sativa in the hybrid. more problems with keeping nutes right with the super ice too...

you know that super ice really doesn't look all that great... don't think i've been meeting her needs. been trying not to water her every day, but i think that's been a mistake. :badday:

i'll see what i can do to perk her up these last two weeks, using nothing but water and molasses, and a shit load of good vibes. wish me luck. :canabis:

I got to try some Ice and it was so good, i forgot the name until i read this thread. it was a "oh, yeah..." moment. Your buds look great.
