Hey bro I am working and taking classes it aint no thang, got my setup too you should always keep it going!

of all the mistakes i've made thus far, not keeping a clone of this phenotype is the worst.

Dude tell me about it, I hated myself for not keeping clones of good shit. You just gotta say there's probably the better one out there and you'll find her one day! PEACE

thanks hazy, you're right, the super ice is bigger. it turned out pretty much like i thought it would. the super ice buds are bigger, and the chrystal is a better high. looks like i've got a personal stash and an other stash. lol

this chrystal, which i just now smoked for the first time, is beautiful. white widow rebacked with northern lights. smokes like it, too. even tasted good, especially considering this bud was pretty wet (of course lol), and the whole harvest could have used another couple waterings for more flush, but still... um, what was i talking about?

gonna go look at the wall or something. its so white.

here are a few pics of the bloom room since the harvest




actually its only half the room. lol you can see the two big colas on the far left and in the middle. those are two of the three to come down next. i'm trying an experiment with these three. they just started the two week flush, but they really don't need that long, so i cut off the fan leaves to see if it will burn its nutrients faster (minus the main stores in the fan leaves) and flush cleaner. i know i could lose weight, but i'm more interested in quality with these three. they are all fat enough, but i think there was some overfeeding at one point. time to see if my intuition is bullshit or not. let me know if anyone's ever tried it (or just knows i'm wrong lol). thanks.

here's the LST'd Chrystal, probably start her flush in two weeks or so. the way it looks with the floro's, chrystal takes about 9-10 weeks, super ice 8-9. that's for mostly cloudy, some amber. anyway the LST



the flower falling off the pic on the left is hers too. branches are getting heavy, i might have to do some tying. here's her main cola



and the Super Ice, LST'd including six weeks for veg, in bloom for around four or five right now (too lazy to look at the date of the pics to see exactly, but it still has at least four weeks to go)



can't wait to see the final harvest on this one. i've been trimming the lower stuff quite a bit. think it still needs a little more too. big fuking plant, at least imo.

harvest weight! (only took three days to dry... hanging in my bedroom, in dark, ceiling fan on medium, window exhaust pulling air out of room - petty quick)



the four Super Ice weighed in at 30.5, the four Chrystal at 40.6. i thought the super ice would be bigger, but i was wrong. (lucky me, i like the chrystal better anyway lol)








so let's see, that's a total of 71.1 grams, or a little over 2.5 onces! not bad, not bad...

yup, in fact i still have three more super ices coming down next week, a lst'd chrystal after that, and a lst'd super ice after that, then we'll be to the three clones i started this week in bloom... aka perpetual harvest.

well guys i hate to admit it, the buzz of my weed is great, but the smell and taste is on the hay side. the first plant had 14 days exactly with just plain water, the second a few more days, and the big harvest had 14 days also. i don't get it. maybe i took them down from drying too quick, but they are in the paper bag now and i think starting to cure. how long in the bag, three days?

I normally hang my bud in a dark room with an oscillating fan until the stems make a dry snap sound, approx a week or two.

I then put them straight into the jars to cure. I think the paper bag method is just a quicker way of doing the same thing. I'd try three days, but possibly longer.

Khaleel, those buds look great. you are doing a fantastic job.

the "Hay" taste you mention.
i wish you said this the other day, because now i know whats up.
its not flushing. a week of good flush should be good for soil/hydro/anything.

the "Hay" taste is from drying too fast. you need to get the bud to take anywhere from 7-10 days till dry... it usually takes me 7..

dont have fans directly on the buds for 1.
dont let it be too hot, or too cold where they are drying.

you just spent months loving these girls... i know they are cut down, but finishing up with good final product is not over yet bro.

sammet, nzjay: yep, i think you're right. i dried it too fast, and took it down too early. rookie mistake. but the smell and taste is much better after a day in the grocery sack, hopefully another three or four days will get it somewhere before going into the jars. still have faith in it.

just read the hole thread, and i got to say great job khaleel, those are some mighty finew dank buds,nice first grow, just do some better LST the nex time and do a long dry, the hay tast was defntly from the quick dry, try to put them in jars to see if they regain some properties!!

iscore, dr. suess: thanks for stoppin' by and for the compliments! after being in jars for about five days the smell definitely came out... taste was much better too. had to be an issue of properly drying. i'll get it right next time. (fingers crossed)

inverse: thanks my friend! i am going to finish all the plants that came from the original twenty seeds on this thread before starting a new one. so the LST'd chrystal ready in a week and a half, and the LST'd super ice read a week or so after that... than i'm not sure exactly what i'll do. i just put together a ghetto screen grow for shits and giggles, so i'll probably start a thread with that, have it be a combination thread with my jack herrer that's coming up in veg (hopefully a girl).

shit. i have some harvest pics from yesterday (took down three more - nice super ice plants), but no upload. guess i'll get to 'em once its up!

hope all is well peeps. my hometown from back in the day (omaha) got its shopping mall shot up yesterday, eight killed and all that on the news. don't know why i bring it up, but whenever you start having to call people you care about to see if they are alive, it makes you feel like telling everyone you love that you love them. so do that, my friends, tell your loved ones you love them. this life is fleeting. one minute you are shopping for argyle socks for uncle pete, the next minute you are shot dead. make the most of what time you got.

inverse, forgot to mention it in my above post, but i'll probably stick with floro's as long as i'm in the current living arrangement. hopefully sometime next year i'll be in a house and have a little more room and can get some hps going, but for right now temps won't allow it. i can only ventilate my closet so much, as i can't drill proper holes for fans and shit. but i can't wait to get my hands on a couple four hundreds and see what i can do.

so i've been pretty busy in the grow room... i cut a hole in the insulation separating the bloom from the veg side, installed a 12 inch computer fan and wired to ac, and hung some dryer duct on the other side to stop light from getting through. seems to be working pretty well, it lowered my temps about five degrees. sooo, i bought a shop light to put in the bottom. looks pretty damn bright in there now. lol fluorescents everywhere.

still got some harvest pics too. think we'll ever see pic uploading again? haha

i've noticed that the high is better after a week or so.
and the taste will definitely improve.

thanks for the kudos, hazy. after a week in jars, actually even after four days or so, the smell and flavor really came out. i ended up having to get rid of the last ounce to pay rent lol, but my friend that took it off my hands opened the jar and said "damn! smells great!" haha that's enough for me.

and now for the latest harvest...









super ice, ended up being around forty grams. the one on the left looked huge! i've just smoked the first sampler... good stuff. i'm freshly baked off two good hits from my bubbler, on an early sunday morning ("and i'm eeeeassyy, easy like Sun-day moooornin'...")
