high jinks: thanks for stopping by and the compliments! the Super Ice on this thread is a hybrid of Ice 2000 and Supergirl... same stony high as Ice and bigger buds. good stuff. though i have to admit i prefer the more sativa-ish high of the chrystal...

alright everyone, here are the harvest pics from miss chrystal. what a fantastic plant. some of the best smoke i've ever had. harvested almost 30 grams off one plant! (not bad for floro's)
i got a little pic-happy. lol
just one more to go, can't believe its almost to the end of the grow. thanks again all for keeping with me, i've learned a shit-load. and that's a lot. cheers

thanks sammet! your praise makes my grower's ego smile (humbly). plus, this chrystal is some of my favorite weed of all time, esp. this plant. beautiful, wish you could all smoke some with me.
thought i'd give a preview of what my next thread, to be started after the super ice is chopped and harvested here in a week or so.
that would be super ice on the right, one lst'd plant, coming down soon, three super ice lst'd in the middle, a little less than three weeks in bloom, and on the left, one super ice, one chrystal, and one jack herrer, little over a week in bloom. i'm trying an organic two-part liquid nute system, along with the Big Bud again, so we'll see how it works.
and a shot of the super ice nugs. these buds smell like a honey-pot. i picked the right pheno to keep and clone.
that is strange. click on the link, it goes to a different pic. lol that's also what it looks liike when i remove the -thumb from the html. weird. eh.

Khaleel, what's pot size used in the flower and how tall do the plant shoot up before chopped? they strech much taller than the pot height. just curious what the root looks like?
how is the crystal taste like? cant wait to get some seeds.

thanks marilover, the chrystal taste perfect. it's Northern Lights re-backed with White Widow, so you could imagine how smooth and high you get.
in the beginning i took seeds in four inch square pots, then they went to 1 gallon bags. that worked fine, but the two that i LST'd were a bit bigger.
the chrystal LST'd went into a 8-inch pot (1 gallon). the Super Ice LST'd is now in a two-gallon pot.
from this point on out, i'm going straight from the cloning tray into 8-inch pots (1 gallon), which they'll finish in. three weeks of veg, then into bloom in same pots. with the lst (low stress training), where i tie the tops down and spread them out to an even canopy, the plants get no taller than three feet, if that. its definitely the way to go, imo.

well, i was feeling very sentimental tonight, nothing to do but stare at the idiot box, so i decided the time was right. down she came.
Super Ice, veg'd six weeks, LST'd... [sniff] she'll be missed.
i'll do a proper smoke report after she's dried and cured, probably late next week. from there i'll decide whether to start a different thread in the indoor soil forum, or just keep dragging this one out. lol
happy holidays, whatever they may be. try to carry that nice feeling all year through, we have to do what we can to balance out all the incredible assholes in the world. wish they could smoke some of this super ice.

The ice is SUPER! I grew some out for last Christmas and it is off the charts!
Still the best smoke ive grown but this strawberry cough I just harvested
might be as good when its fully cured. Anyways man enjoy that ice and get H-
I-G-H for the holidays! Keep it green and great job man!

rob547: muchos gracious, my friend. i'm sure i'll make a post once and a while on this thread with harvest pics and smoke reports, but i actually just started another thread so when you get a minute check it out! lol i'm trying out a SOG-type grow, its in the Indoor Soil forum (and my signature line). we'll see if the thread gets popular, and up and going or not.
that's it for now! the super ice is almost dried enough to go into jars, i'm going to do some super-manual curing over the next two days to get this ready for christmas. should be able to keep a close enough eye on it to maintain a smooth cure. happy holidays!
