Thanks C6H6 I'm not worried or interested in what anyone thinks of my assistance. If they were critiquing equally across the board I'd agree but it's apparent it's my posts that receive the mouthy add ons. I could as easily chase their postings around & flame them I don't & MANY including all here have been wrong often. This is what creates the problem not my help or anyone else's.

They could tell you to use battery acid I would not flame them if they were actually trying to help. If they put down another poster within that post they're fair game. I didn't take lockmeup personally I gave my opinion one that I stand on. I'm not here for the thanks but will graciously accept them. I'm also not trying to run the ship or up anyone nor am I trying to write a book. If I wasn't getting flamed for my assistance on this forum we wouldn't be having this conversation.

well after the flushing they seemed to be just fine, their still alive and kicking, just growing slowly as a result of the stress early on i believe, but their recovering. check back in a couple days when i take some picture and ask for some advice, see how much they've grown. there still not perfect looking but their recovering thanks for the imput though.
rite now my problem seems to be finding that point in which to water them but like sirgrassalot said he lets his plants dry out compleately before he waters them which is what im trying to do, im getting really good at being able to tell when they are wilted and need a watering.
edit yes it was organic fert that i used.

I may of said that since you had watered than flushed, I didn't want your plants going through over watering compounding issues. It's a few pages back I don't know? Just to clarify I don't let let mine dry out completely & when I'm in Pro-Mix that's a definite no no. I do it by the look & feel so it's one of those things you get to know. The soil starts to move away from the edge of the pot - it's time than. Drier is better than wet the fans start blowing dust around. I think the plant can overcome being slightly dried out quicker than being soggy. Both could effect the plants yielding potential I would think if it happen often.

pedro48 I haven't tried the clear cups I have the Christmas green type. Damn things are top heavy. I rooted a clone in straight Perlite this week. It appears to be working, just trying it out.

correct me if I'm wrong but don't you run a risk of fungus in your soil using clear cups? I thought that the light getting through to the wet/moist soil could cause issues. I'm not speaking from experience, just an assumption I had because it is very important in hydro systems to not let any light to the roots.

I'm not bashing your methods. Those are lovely looking plants. I'm just asking an honest ? to clear things in my mind. Thanks.

Thanks CH for the props dude! totally!, the main reason why I am NOT growing right now is due to being ratted out, I was a medical grower and a friend of mine who I knew for over $+ years ratted on me and I got raided and you know the rest.

I could find a lot more stuff to do with my time than be here, but I like being here and I am happy helping out other growers and he nor anyone will convince me otherwise to change my route, I will grow again someday and when I do, I can grow the dankest stuff I want to when I want to and how I want too!


Yes, you are very correct dontlockmeup, it also depends on your watering habits too, it's like medication, the clear cups may affect some people where it will not affect others.

I tried doing a test on it a long time ago and use those clear gallon ice cream containers and I found that when you watered a little more often algae growth was 2x the amount more likely to grow over than not.

I disagree with SirGrassaLot watering advice. You don't want to let plants dry out. See the fuzzy white root hairs on this plants roots? You let the plant dry out too much, you will kill those root hairs. Learn to feel the weight of a pot that is drying out. "Evenly moist" is the ideal. Light soil helps do this. Clear pots will help you learn to water. Tip: Water SLOWLY, else it runs down the sides and out the drain holes. Scuff the soil surface to aid water soaking in, and not beading up and running off and all around the surface. You'll be able to see as well as feel when a plant needs water. Clear pots help with transplanting too.

Good post there!!! I agree with you so much, except for the part about the use of clear pots, but I will agree they are very helpful for transplanting, they just slide right out of there perfectly, where with pots you got to squeeze or bump the pot to unstick soil that stuck to the pot.


With the soil being completely drying out, I would not advise it to go so dry where the soil looks like a drought hit it, if you use organics and let your mixture do this, you will have a hard time with getting the nutrients to work properly again, I read an article I will have to get and find it again, but it did not say why that was but I do know it has happened to some people who were underwatering on there plants

I also noticed how assalot likes to diagnos like ten different problems for the symptoms. the the patients are. . . recovering. not sure you could call them 100 percent yet and for as old as they are i would have expected them to be a lot bigger still less then 4in tall but at least their green. ill snap some pictures when i get home later tonite. but on a positive note i do have my first 5 leaf. . . leaf that acctualy looks like a pot plant

If you are dead on, it's because after others or I have given the diagnosis and YOU CHANGED YOUR ANSWERS (like you do with nearly every post) after the fact to make it look like you have said it all long.

Cannabis is only simple to grow if you look at it not like other plants, if you look at it like common plants it won't be an easy plant to grow.
