If you are looking for a 70 day pure sativa (and it is an Ecuador landrace) you can try the C.T.S. still sold by Federation.

Ive heard they have also discontinued C.T.S...or a least seedbay will no longer carry CTS....anybody know the scoop on this

He probably said it looks like a hybrid because of the structure of the buds. It looks pretty tight for a pure land race sativa grown indoors. Nice loooking plant though.

well...I sure wish you would tell me what makes you think my acapulco is a hybrid?? is it because it didn't come from YOUR seed company? I surely hope not...smoke on smokers!

heya man - just my tuppence from looking briefly at those pics, but - as one example - with that kind of bud structure I would seriously doubt it could be a pure Pacific Mexican landrace sativa from the '60s or '70s ... there looks to me to have been some indica in there somewhere along the way

"Acapulco Gold" is presumably another one of those "Gold" names which was used for good grass - in this case originally just good quality Pacific Mexican sensi - i.e. not one genuinely pure strain

smoked some nice Mexican sensi in the '90s in California - nice bright up high, but plenty of burnout about three hours later, as I remember

jojajico: thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Always nice to read how people cope with powerfull stuff. I bought my 100% Sativa hybrid at HempDepot (distributor) in Ottawa, but I'm working on keeping these genetics very alive. My seeds comes from Federation breeders in Vancouver. They do not carry anymore this Hawaiian Sativa genetic from Mauna Kea Island. They, however still carry the Celestial Temple Sativa (from Ecuador), called C.T.S. I read here that pure landrace sativas from Hawaii were very rare. I got lucky because my 3 foot cloned female/future mother is actually the hawaiian phenotype. Lucky enough, I still have some of those original seeds I bought. I crossing my fingers, hopefully to find a Hawaiian phenotype male. Even if I catch the C.T.S. phenotype, I will be very happy, since they are both 100 % sativa landraces and both phenos (I caught a C.T.S. pheno in my previous flowering) give awesome soaring highs. Forget about Tylenol, Aspirin or Advil, the worst migraine is history with a few puffs of this. When I feel down (i have a slight tendency to depression), I just light up a pipe with .05 gr and this beats any Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil or any of those mind benders LOLL. Just for fun, Friday night (February 2nd) I went to my favorite club and offered and share a small joint of Hawaiian X C.T.S. to a 62 year old friend. Gee, this guy was dancing and singning like a 17-year old during his prom night. I laughed on the mood change he experienced. I'm a little devil, sharing this powerful stuff to unsuspecting friends!

I have 5 seeds of the Hawaiian Sativa. I should probably try and germ them ASAP. They've been stored at room temperature for about a year-and-a-half...

True it may not be the same from the 60's or 70's...would be nice to find some from those days.I was told when I bought these they were from a local grower in the Acapulco area...Then again you have to go by the sources you have and there information..all the seeds I sprouted grew very uniform....more so than some IBL's i've grown.flowering time is any where from 90-110 days....smells of sweet lemonade and has a peppery spice on exhale...soaring high that seems to last forever....I like the cut I kept...I'm happy with her and hope anyone who has recieved a cut of her enjoys her as well...I'm not here to have a pissing contest with anyone just didnt want this to turn into another Real/Fake Kush thread over the AG...peace and some Bud shots to remind us why we are here...

C'mon man. I really didn't mean to insult you or your genetics. Just about every landrace sativa I've seen on this forum didn't come from bsc. Yet, I rarely if ever doubt authenticity. The plant in that picture has the structure profile of an indica or indica hybrid.

Here are some pictures of Acapulco gold. As you can see with the mexican sativas

I really have no intention to insult you and I never said your herb wasn't very good quality or doesn't have the buzz of a pacific mexican. It is just that when we discuss the origins of genetics we should be very honest with each other.

Hey Cannapits, were those the seeds that Marimbas was selling? I also aquired some and friend has a couple going from the pack that we split. His look very indica in the veg stage, but if they go that long in flower it sounds like a sativa.

I concur, Killakr0n, your plant may be the shit, but it ain't no Acapulco Gold. Looks like there's a little indica in there. It might be a Skunk x Acapulco Gold hybrid or just a Cali Skunk. It definitely has a lot of sativa, but you can see the indica in the growth structure and in the leaf. Kinda reminds me of AK-48, cept with a little more sativa. That doesn't mean it isn't good smoke though. Zama, real deal Acapulco Gold sounds delicioso man...

Shit, I have to apologize. The last sentence of my last post was in reference to me being honest with you about what I suspect it's origins to be. I really didn't meant ot imply that I thought you were lying. I'm certain you are being honest. I'm really sorry about the vaguness of that last sentence.

The strongest sativa I've grown was Female Seeds' Zamal x Neville's Haze, Zamal pheno was my favourite, very lemony with a hint of pine, electric, heady, racing, trippy, alll these words apply, just the best head high I've ever experienced and long lasting, all my friends are blown away by the stuff, it has them all very high and gasping for reality.

Last few months I've grown Colombian Gold, Thai, HazeSkunk, Ducksfoot, a couple of Mexicans, Jack Herer sat pheno, and a coupla others sats, the Zamal beat them all hands down, the Thai was similar in effect but not as strong by far.

Only problem is it takes 16 weeks indoors, but its well worth the wait and Ilve revegged the Zamal pheno as i want to keep this strain around for a long time. I would love to try some pure Zamal to compare.

it's all well...no issues as we both have respect for each other...It may be a hybrid of some sorts ....But one that has been worked as the uniform in structure was all the same...dead on.like I said before more so than any IBL i've grown..Not alot of stretch IMO which I thought was wierd...you can tell by the leafs it's sativa for sure.same with the High .the taste and high far exceeds any mexican bought or bag seed I've ever grown...I've been blessed with an 18 year affair with maryjane and I hope it last forever...every old head i've given her two has had nothing but good words about the herb...days of old is always brought up as it taste and high is so different....Like I said I'd love to try some of the real beans to compare...I like your work as I've told ya before...I just didnt want people jumping on the mans back as it came from me...No offense meant to anyone...My meds are good as I dont get to mad often...

Yes they came from the trinity auction via Marimbas...talked to him alot about them and believe his story to be true...then again he's not around that I know of so who knows...no regrets on the purchase of the seeds....paid more for worse...those were the last pack of seeds i've ever bought...I'll come out of seed buying retirement when you let me know when the Colombian Black seeds are ready....guess i'll have to get the AG as well.....Peace
