I collected the sainai strains in Egypt last year I am growing them out now in my current project very very tiny seeds ! Very nice hashish indeed I collected the seeds from the Beduan people 60km's south of the israli boarder unfortunatly I nearly got killed doing so .
The seeds will be released as research and devlopment strains at reeferman in a few months .

Hey reeferman, since these are tiny seeds from bedouin and probably used for charas production do you think they have a high frequency of ocurrance for the Bd allele? Egyptian charas even when grown from cultivated lines has around 30-50% of the overall cannabinoids produced to be cbd. This sounds like it could be a very useful medical strain although unworked I'd assume 25% of the plants to be strictly cbd producers and will posses a very slightly noticeable psychoactive effect but when many plants are grown together to make hashish the effect can be quite nice because the predominant cbd producers (homozygous Bd) are balanced out by the thc as the predominant cannabinoid (homozygous Bt) and heterozygous (Bd + Bt) plants. Did you use gc/ms analysis to breed the Bd allele out of the population in one generation, did you do it without gc/ms over multiple generations or did you leave the Bd allele in the genetic pool?

Zamalito: I can only talk about my own experience, but I found that most of the charas I smoked while in Egypt was sativa charas. It produced this euphoric & energetic high that kept yoy going and going, on the other hand if you smoked it too much (that happened often) it really locked you but your head was going like hundred miles an hour! When you smoked these little about 0.2 gram slices from shiisha it just went to your head & produced this divine high with lots of energy and this all feeled just in your head, not in the body. However, I smoked this "lowerquality"charas that produced much more indica type of high and were much stonier... My friend also told me (after asking)that most of the times he has visited the area where he buy he´s charas, he has seen plants with very thin leaves. This was shock to me, because I got this vision that they only grow some grazyhashplantindicas in there...
Tripco: I think you are at the right track with your sativa/indica theory because the "lowerqualitycharas" I smoked produced much more indica high than sativa, still there were some sativa traits in it!!!
I found Egypt is holding some madgenetics that really should get notified wider.

There's also some Egyptian in the finnish outdoor strain Pekin Pehku and it's predecessor Jeppis Joy, which is said to be 50% Holy Joy. By looking at jeppis genetics you can clearly see that Holy Joy definately wasn't a pure indica. There's no visible indica traits in jeppis strains.

didnt know about that at all, I have a good load of egyptian and israeli landraces..pretty much the same thing, some gems but most seem to uncontrollable wild sativas like the ones that popped from the kerala bag...
