MORGLIES MULANJE
Repro
Though they are different heights they have the same pine. carrot menthol fragrance.
The two taller ones are from Morglies #1 plant and the two sort ones are from his #2 plant
I pollinated #1 with male from his #1 Then his #2 seedling got knocked up from Male #2
And I did Knockup one bud on the tallest #1 with my original Mulanje, which has a much sweeter sultry fragrance.

So what is Morglies? And Mulanje is a cultivar from Malawi is it?

Hey Tex! Mulanje Gold is a highland variant from the Mulanje region of Malawi Gold but much more compact, faster flowering And more powerful and sweeter than most other Malawi.
Morglie was a grower on another site that gifted me seed of his strain though his is less pure. My strain came from Malberry seeds from years ago. and so far my strain is nicer but some threads in my strain can herm, currently breeding that out. I have another line of Mulanje coming from Australia that is a little more worked or back crossed to pure back to Morgllies.
I hope that was not to confusing!

Certainly looks impressive. I wonder how it compares with dubi's Malawi killer cut? I have grown the Ace Malawi as well as several of the crosses and it's definitely powerful.

I honestly can not say the only Malawi I grew was from I believe Afropips? I am just going by that and all the growers I talked to who are actually from Africa and this is what I have heard from a few. One grower from Africa says he has Kwazula his grandfather collected himself in the 50's from some tribe there and he liked that better that Mulanje but Mulanje was his second favorite.
did you ever take pics of ACE Malawi you grew?

I think all my old pics are gone, but they weren't very good anyway...I grew the pure Malawi early on before I knew what I was doing. The Panama x Malawi was a more recent grow and that was a remarkable combo. I liked it better than Malawi x Panama.

Very good!
I did a test cross ACE Panama Red X my Oaxacan it as nice smelled of menthol and floral but it was a bit to leafy as a cross for my
desires in breeding, Sometimes great strains blend wonderfully and sometimes its a bust.

Cut of this plant was just dusted with your M. Gold. Panama regular seed from Ace. Plenty of seed to have fun with.
So the Panama red x Oax. cross you made was a bit leafy. Were you referring to the cross or just the Oaxacan. How many plants of the cross did you grow out to determine it was too leafy? Thank you for all your help.

Hello Lotto!!
No it was just the cross, but also just under my conditions at that time, honestly it was just me. I hate to freaken trim!!! My Oax is a breeze to trim flowered out indoors, outdoors less so. These are other focus points I put into my breeding projects.
Does it flower outdoors early check
Is it fragrant enough to make you want to climb into the bag and just take deep breaths all day. check!
is it potent and the quality of the high upbeat, happy and exhilarating check!
is it resistant to pest, fungus and mold check!
is it different to what everyone else is growing hell yes! triple check!
I think your crosses have every ability to shine and potentially be better than mine.
Again I hate trimming so I try to grow and breed the easiest trim buds with all the other considerations above.
But heck these are living things that preform as they can with a bit from our direction but nature has its own agenda.
Hope that helps!

Around five months with something like two and a half to go I suppose.
🤞
this is one of 8 girls from the pack and must have been a bit slower as it went into a150l bag instead of the ground.
She has now filed every cubic mm.

After a slightly slow start (my fault) they bounced like champs when hitting stretch, those in the ground now sitting up near 3m and slightly further along than this one.

All very similar, mostly striped stem and petioles but one specimen shows only green coloration and the one above noticeably greasier stem.

You're right about them being big feeders!

Unfortunately I lost a boy but have kept one and am doing some repro (and may try various x's) with it
Thank goodness I have another pack.

Looking forward to trying the results though I expect they'll benefit from a good long cure

Perfect!
The red stripe in the stem is from the Mulanje in there. I am no longer making that cross
So if you can get a boy and breed them you could very easily create an IBL that will easily breed true even after just a few generations.
Well please keep us posted I love to see others working these genes.
Thank you so much for sharing!
