have 4 packs standard and 4 packs fem in the freezer, please tell me they will turn out like these grows and I'm sitting on fire. cant grow right now but have gotten 80-90%strike rate from a few seeds, seeds are 4-5years old been kept in the freezer. has anyone else frozen seeds? and is this a few bags of gold I've got hiding away?

cheers
mick

They will last indefinitely in an old school freezer without frost free settings. New fridges actually dethaw to prevent the buildup of ice. Should still be fine at 4-5 years old. I would take the ones you want to germinate out of the freezer and leave out to thaw for a week or so before you pop them in water or a towel or soil....

Great thread. Been growing for 3 years mostly indica and indica dom. Only have a 5ft ceiling. Any advice on how to manage these girls in a short place? My thought is to mainline them. And to make my last topping from 4 to 8 a week after 12/12 induced. At that same time up-pot them to slightly larger pots to finish off in. Was honestly thinking of starting them in party cups, then up to 1 gallon. Then finally 2 gallon in flower. Does this seam like a good plan to manage their height and stretch? Thanks for taking the time to respond in advance.

If I were you, I'd top them in the beginning of 12/12. Right after they shoot out new growth, you can put them to 11/13. This willspeed flowering almost without any loss of yield, just a couple %,5 or something.
Also I'd repot sooner, because if you repot them when stretch stopped, the roots don't grow much either. If 2 gallon makes too big plants use smaller pots, or train them to grow as horizontal as possible. This way they need more surface so grow fewer plants.
I hope this helps a bit.
Kind regards,

I did not have any height issues with the Zamaldelica but the old-timers haze on the other hand will get out of control quickly!

Has anybody noticed that some individuals need much more Calcium than others?
I have selfmade S2 seeds and have 1 female, which smells a whole lot like carrot, which also needs a lot Ca while the others (Zamaldelica S2 & Destroyer) seem to do just fine.

You'll notice brown dots in the middle and upper leaves. I only have it in the middle leaves, not the newest growth (which is already old by now), which means the extra dose of Ca Mg ( a teaspoon/ a plant) helped a great deal. I'll include this link so you can see some pictures of it & read even more about it, if you wish.

Try keeping them in smaller pots during flower, say a 6 inch for the first 3 weeks of flower then transplant into your 2 gallon after, limit the nitrogen to make sure not excess but still sufficient to maintain healthy development, so normal to just slightly lower than normal levels. The sativas will grow roots even while flowering allowing you a good yield but will help restrict the plant while it stretches in the smaller pot due to lack of root space and resources.

I did not experience any deficiency in the Zam but had a lot of trouble with the haze....I did transplant into Ocean Forest next time I would use a lighter mix like happy from or dilute with perlite and peat moss.
