crap both of my Zam's have super fat leaves....really bummed.

Don't worry, they will probably look different once you switch them to flowering. The Zamaldelica I posted had fatter leaves then most of the sativas I've done but this was in veg. Seems like they started to thin out more once they get bigger, just what I noticed. Might be wrong and are both Malawi leaning which could be the case. However Ace's fem Zamaldelica is pretty on point with atleast each seed providing a plant which is like the clone version. Some may hermie more than others is the biggest thing I noticed. Good luck man.

Hi all!
I read the ace's threads for some years now, tested the Congo, Panama (indoor), NepJam and Green Haze Thai outdoor and decided after hours and hours of thread reading that the Zamaldelica had to be the next in my garden ! So this year i wanted to share with you guys my attempt to grow this wonderful sativa.

Started from seed in March under led panel then outdoor since May, 3 males showed sex so i have now 1 female and decided to make her a big girl!
I am in a mediterranean climate at 43.8° N and use organic fertilizers.

I repotted in 83 liters (all-mix) 3 weeks ago and she starts to gently pistilate as you can see in photos. Topped one time, she's now about 2 meters with 2 main ramifications. So, as she got plenty of new soil and nutrients, i stopped, for now, the veg fertilizer (Alga grow). The plant is nice and healthy, and i ask myself for some days, when to start the bloom ferts? How do you guys usually decide when to switch to bloom ferts with theses kind of sativa ?

best vibes

Personally I would only do that once she starts to flower, nice plant by the way she is going to produce a lot of bud once she starts flowering.

Hey mate, plants look great. She is Thai leaning.!!Mine produce a lot of bud when given plenty of sun. Tang us right , I wouldn't start bloom until about the 3-4 week , when buds are starting to form and get more dense.

Am also for Tangwena way,

be very cautious about nutes cause she will start to fast defoliate self,
feeded her in same way as indicas and she didnt like it... ;)

think sativas need low but constant feed and that you will made if you prepare
your soil more proper, additional feed need to be very light soup that will have
vitamins and natural mineral part with lower dose of organic NPK nutes.

Mycos and beneficial bacteries are must if you grow long flowering sativas
as they will help plant much easier to grow and feed on your soil mix and to maintain her longer time healthy than whithouth this products.

All the best

Thanks Tangwena, Holeshot and Dogstar for your precious input!
I'll wait for flowers to use ferts again, or maybe add some batmix at the pot's bottom when roots will have colonized all the soil.

You're right about the sativa feeding, theses girl are super thrifty! I have a big Columbian Punto Rojo (~2.10 meters) next to the Zam, in only 30 liters pot and she doesnt demand more N, just stay super green! It's the first time i see a plant growing with so little nutrients.
On the other hand, the Zam is way more gourmand!! (wich is logical considering her polyhybrid genetic).

I used trichoderma at the beginning of the season so, yea, i hope it helps the roots a bit!

Hey mate, plants look great. She is Thai leaning.!!
Thanks for the insight!! Im happy if the effect is thai dominant, but i hope that the Zamal mangu' carrot aroma will show!!
I did grow a Thai leaning Golden Tiger indoor 4 years ago, but in poor conditions (not enough light, bad spectrum + i failed at the feeding), the effect was average but aroma and terpenes was very poor due to a lack of resin and trichs size i guess...
However, im still 100% exited about growing a nice Thai leaning genetic, in good conditions this time !

I still have 6 Zams seeds in the fridge for an eventual indoor winter session, hope to find some interresting pheno! Also very curious about the untamable "Kraken" pheno  i would LOVE to try a vape of these kind of flowers!!

some more photos of my Zam lady

what's the minimum pot size i can get away with outdoors for the zamaldelica? - also, for stealth I am needing to build a 'shadehouse' - will 30% shade cloth ruin the grow? - or up for any other ideas for stealth...planting a bunch of Jerusalem artichokes right now! haha

I've grown both Zamaldelica and GT Fems,Indoors and out .. which are both Thai leaning. Both plants I grew In 20" pots produced just over 1/2 p each . GT was a bit more . GT is probably one of , if not the hardest plant I've grown. It has a fantastic smell when growing and cured. One of the Best smokes I've had. Zam is a little smaller , but produces that amazing carrot fruit aroma. It is my favorite so far . Congo is chasing those 2 fast . Pheno has an incredable floral smell and fruity floral taste. Great up but chilled at the same time. I just received some Reg CONGO seeds ,that are more sativa leaning to compare the PCK leaning pheno I have .Highly recommended.Very underrated I would say.!!!! at what stage of oldie infection are you?any pics? with zamadelicia you must have 5, 6 weeks flowering to go ...so you can do many things. first spray heavily and wash plants with h2o2 at 10% in 10 lt of ro water. do it with the others plant only if they haven't bud well formed and only early in the starting day light to offer many hours to dry well under heat. than you can apply something organic like oidioprot. your humidity and temp value are the best for mold problems, so warm it and dry the air

Against oidio is best Horstail tea,

will exchange PH of leaf surface and PM cant have chance to survive, also will made plant stems sturdier.

I'm using LC's soilless mix #1 made on coco coir and homemade worm compost with the nutrient mix #1 from the Organics for beginners thread. My little Panama and Tikal clones are only in week 3 of flower and I haven't completed a flowering cycle with this mix before but the same mothers in veg are growing far better than they were on Biocanna. If you use this make up some of the soilless mix by itself without the extra nutrients to cut the fertilised mix with in case the full strength mix is too hot for your plants. Start in small pots with the full strength mix for nutrient hungry plants like some Panama's can be and flush the hell out of the pots if your plants start to burn then pot up a with a diluted mix. I will run Zamaldelica next year and will probably start with nutrients at half strength.

Pot size depends on the size you want to grow your plants to and how frequently you want to water. Blumats will take the watering factor out of the equation and will keep your soil at the optimal moisture level without going through the wet-dry cycle.
