Here's a long overdue update.

Seeds sown in mid march, rootbound and tortured the entire way.
3/5 females from a regular selection from circa 2016, one girl given away. Soil was a peat, native clay mixture and amended. Less than 20 gallons for all of my plants. Watered with ph'ed water and NO added nutrients through the year. Here's the fruits:

Zamaldelica #1, Thai dominant.
picture.php

She's been awful fickle, but never near death... still. Pest resistant, no rain to determine mold resistance. Odd smell to me. Brings up something from my past, but I'm unsure what it is.

She has quite an amazing foxtailing structure. I can't wait to see this one fully developed. Still possibly a month longer yet.
---

Zam #2, zamal semi auto dominant.
picture.php

Very difficult to get her in one shot. She decided to swell to massive proportions over the course of the first week of October.
She has been a standout. Fastest in veg, fastest to set flowers, and all around most beautiful even though she has eaten herself up. This selection is very susceptible to caterpillars, but resistant to mostly everything else. Strong stems, but heavy flowers. Seems ready to be harvested within the next few weeks.

This lady is piney, candied pit fruit. Delectable, she is.
Sorry for the lower quality photos. I'm out of wind, will update whenever first harvest is.

Bono Fortuna - The bamboo like stems on the first one is another Thai flashback for me. Very nice that your #2 is looking close to being done.
Pins and needles for the smoke reports!

I recalled reading a bit about him being an actual ruler... colonial times? I have noticed how easily people glorify past rulers and ignore the often brutal tactics used to gain and hold power.... in Canada there is controversy over some of our founding figures having made truly awful decisions regarding the treatment of aboriginal peoples. We forget how much savagery maintains our sense of "order" in this world sometimes... I digress once more.

I have more pics of Zig13 seedlings as they enter preflower just gotta sort em and upload when I have a couple more minutes.

Lo i finally read something. Not colonial... 60's and 70's! Shit was yesterday practically and even still i and many others don't know shit all about it. Information Age is as useful as how hard you look through it I guess...

Awesome plants bona fortuna! I dream of the day I might manage to grow a plant that large.. they look like they're going to be a fun ride upon smoking:tiphat:

Going to finish retrofitting an old freezer with lights and temp control today so I can clean out veg cabs and start cloning males. I'm going to have weed spooge all up the walls pretty soon if I don't... lol my poor GT in there will get a bit of group loving and I'll feel left out having only a bunch of illegit bastard seeds instead of lovely medicines.

This will not do.
So toil I must and will, update in a day or three.

Thank you all for the kind words.
These plants have been a breeze to grow.

@tangwena: many thanks. I hope luck sticks with this devil for a bit longer.

@thaibliss: lady 1 suffers the most from rootbinding. Which explains the barren, bamboo poles. I've been contemplating what to use the stems for, they are so incredibly straight and scar free. I'm thinking a couple walking sticks or garden accents, solar lights on top of the branches that have been etched and epoxied... ideas.
She does seem remisicent of a bamboo grove.
Lady 2 could come down any day. I've been wanting to snip a few testers just for fits and giggles. Quite possibly, literally.

@yukonchronic: i hope to see plants bigger than this from you one day.

Much love to all

Subbed!

I am looking for a speedy electric up Thai pheno of Zamaldelica.

I was recently convinced to try Zamaldelica again. I have completed my infusion of Bangi Haze genetics into my keeper seeds, and I found that Yoss33 was able to grow good quality Zamaldelica at a latitude similar to mine. I'm going to give it a go outside next summer.

I dropped into this thread to see what people are finding lately in the line. I see that some phenotypes look almost exactly like the Thai I had grown when I was a youngster. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about from Consolidated:

Freezer is working but has some "kinks" to work out re: airflow and cooling. All par for the course. So I have cloned four of the males and am thinking about just uprooting what's left of the better ones and repotting them. There is enough vegetation and the rootballs are small soooo.. yea.
Now I have a big hole in my flower box and I'm tempted to fill it with something Zam but it's all in seed form unless I flower my Zamal dominant autoflower Nanner popping jungle psycho mother plant.... or the ZamxPurps mother plant....

Or I could continue my Zam/Guat project by popping some F3s that have been selected towards the strawberry bubblegum sour candy mango mushroom pheno and select next couple of possible Queens for the Zig 13 male I'm picking.
(I like this idea most )
Or go a COMPLETELY different direction and start into my Banghi Haze x Ethiopian seeds so I can select for a reproduction of them.

Help me choose guys and gals!

Edit: I have LOTS of veg space w/new veg cab. I'm doing ALL of the above  BangEth won't hit dirt for another 3 or 4 weeks tho as it'll be about 10 weeks until I have a free flower box.

Mad props Chronos! Very nice looking, reminds me a bit of my crazy Zamal pheno in terms of bud structure but yours are umm wayyyyy more dense. Lol I feel ashamed! It's just the pheno... yea that's all just that I got a fluffy pheno.

I wish. Some of you guys on the mag here seem to really be killin it every grow, I like watching it and learning so please; keep it on up.
:tiphat:
Looking forward to a smoke report.

Hey ThaiBliss I took pic of my tall graceful Zig13 female t'other day for you. She's much stretchier than the typical compact pheno I've been breeding towards and her stance and more delicate leaves made me think to myself "hey! ThaiBliss loves those graceful thin leaf ladies"
I'll post it up when I get next round of pics uploaded...

Hmmmm lots of clouded it looks like.... maybe she's staying green and pushing more pistils from the rain? I would keep an eye on how amber your getting and cut her when this flush of pistils withers if it was indoor... your going to have to figure your own balance with your weather tho...

Chances are a few days or a week more will just give you even more weight and psychoactivity. Lots of my Zam seem to "rush" to a finish all at once in the last week. Whole thing just puffs up and flashes over to ripe in what seems like no time... I'm pretty sure your at early end of harvest window; it's open.... but the gravy is still to come. Lol I'm betting one day soon you'll look at her and smell her and just know it's time.
