Zamaldelica - The Search for Trip Weed

Greetings and Salutations,

I finally got back to growing some Zamaldelicas. I knew I would eventually, but Yoss33's success outdoors in a mild climate at about my latitude has spurred my interest again. I also successfully grew a 50% Kali Mist outdoors last summer. It turned out really good.

The early success of this thread, I believe my first, was in part due to the title. I decided to start another more general thread to encompass all the strains I'm trying to find plants with a trippy effect. But this thread was also successful due to the quality and potency of this wonder strain, Zamaldelica. In thanks to Dubi, and the other peeps interested in this thread enough to contribute and follow, I feel duty bound to contribute to this thread again in the ACE forums.

I also want to thank Dubi for his encouragement and support. He has always been willing to answer questions, give advice, be patient, and contribute in other ways. Taking the time to read threads under his forums and answer all questions is testament to his character and passion for the Cannabis species.

I planted 12 seeds, and so far, 8 have sprouted. Here is one of them:

Here is a picture of the first Zamaldelica I brought to fruition. It was definitely trippy, but it was too introspective and I think what Dubi calls "dense" for my tastes. I'm looking for a more energetic, soaring, and euphoric trippiness. I believe I need to look for the ones that lean towards the Thai ancestry, and less towards the Malawi:

I'll update again when my new seedlings get a little bigger.

Best Vibes,

ThaiBliss

Hi ThaiBliss,

It's a pleasure to see you posting around these parts :)
Zamaldelica standard/regular releases are the Zamaldelica versions where to look for for the most tropical Zamal/Thai phenos with the most accelerated/trippy 'all in the head' effects that you and yoss appreciate the most, with lesser dense and lesser heavier body effects from the Malawi. Good luck with your 8 Zamaldelica seedlings, hope you find what you are looking for

More sprouted. I now have 12 of 12 successfully sprouted.

Hello all!
First time poster, long time lurker. I came here because I absolutely love pure sativas and special landraces. Man zamaldelica doesn't disappoint! After growing her I liked her so much I decided to cross it with a special amnesia haze. Thought I would share and see what y'all think. Seems to be very ZD dominant.

Welcome ZenBudism :)

What did you like the most from Zamaldelica ? Did you grow the regular or the feminized version ? I cannot see your pics, kindly try to upload them again. Best regards, dubi

Ok let me try this...forgive the noob

I grew one female from feminized seed but I definitely plan on expanding my regular seed stock.
I absolutely loved the structure of the zamaldelica, very unique and the hairs are distinctively brown/Auburn.

Nice to see your Zamaldelica ;) What about her effects and terpenes ?

Did you already try the Zamaldelica cross with Amnesia Haze ?
If so, how is the outcome ?

I apologize I should've specified that picture was the amnesia haze crossing. Very productive with lots of foxtails and resin! Haven't chopped her yet though still needs time.

The Zamaledica I grew tasted like carrot greens with an aftertaste of black licorice. Very intense and long lasting high. Similar to a very potent haze but more introspective and private! A favorite for sure! Bellow is the zamaldelica and amnesia haze parents.

that's the type of experience you cant buy at a dispensary!

lately we've been finding ace gear at one of ours on the east coast, usa!

purple haze x malawi and golden tiger were great, and i've seen the grower list zamaldelica!

times are finally changing for the better, away from near homogeny (modern hybrids full of northern lights) to novel strains as well as a renaissance of classic landraces! so excited to see what i find next, as it is still a "no-no" to grow our own :(

Hi ZenBudism,

The first pic of your last post indeed looks like Zamaldelica.
It's a nice pheno, with very balanced traits from the 3 sativas involved in Zamaldelica hybrid, with good and desirable Zamal/Thai influence.

A pitty you unregistered your account so fast. Hope you are doing well.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

That's great to hear nepalnt21 ;) Thanks for let us know.

Glad our genetics are reaching growers of your area, hopefully our work contributes to add interesting genetic diversity to the genepools and expand also the sativa genetics available there.

Here is a recent pic of one of the prettiest looking Zamaldelicas:

I killed the seedling with the fattest leaves so I have only 11 (ha only 11!) left. We got a couple of warm days just as the full moon is approaching and growth has been good! They grew taller, but mostly got thicker and healthier.

And not a blemish on her. You keep a very clean grow my friend. Nice work, she looks happy and healthy. Can't ask for more at this stage.
Peace, God bless

Thanks, but luckily I have lots to chose from for a good looker. I have a problem with what looks like gnats sucking at the meristem of the plants and deforming the leaves. I had to fess up, but thanks for the good vibes anyway. Sometimes life is a hilarious joke on me. LOL I hope the plants outgrow the issue. They have been suffering from long stretches of very rainy weather.

Greetings,

My plants have this infestation of insects that look like gnats. The only thing I have found researching is fungus gnats, but they seem to be hanging out at the meristem and doing damage to the newly forming leaves. I'm hoping that a change in our wet start to our dry season will allow the plants to outgrow the issue. I still go out and manually smash a dozen of the little b@st@rds every day.

In doing so, I came across a really strong smelling plant. It has a very fresh and zesty lemon aroma with a sweet candy and fuel aroma all wound up into one awesome nasal blast. Might be the most pungent terpenes of any of my plants this year, so far. Nice!
