YUKONS Cabinet (w/ pics)

Yukon, how difficult was it for you to make your cooltubes?

Not being so mechanically/electrically inclined, I thought about purchasing a 250, but after sitting around and doing some math it's going to be pretty pricy.

I'm looking at some ballasts and your pics...I'm wondering how easy it was for you to assemble.

simple.

the glass was less than 10 buks for both from hobby lobby, and i just dis-assembled (2) 150 watt security lights from home depot...its really easy.

Really? Any tips or advice on disassembling a light? I guess the only way I'll find out how easy it is is to actually do it.

How did you set it up so that you can unplug the lights from the ballasts?

ok this piece is my favorite!

this is the shelf that seperates the utility room from the mom/clone chamber.

I made the shelf so that its just a single piece and it can be removed and re-installed w/out having to un-do or re-do any wiring! I installed plugs on the hps lights so that the can plug right into the ballast (they were security lights initially, so they didnt come w/ that feature)

the underside holds the floro sockets, and I used the reflector that came w/ the lights and cut it to fit perfect on the roof.

here it is installed w/ the fan in there too (the fan is mounted seperate)

this page should say it all regarding the wiring.....just cut the wires...extend them where necessary and connect them to plugs.

im scared shitless of electricity, so i just make sure everything is clean, and ive never had a problem.

that's quite a bump. Nevertheless, while it's up here I'd also like to say that this is stellar and yukon, you've definitely inspired countless others, and that's what it's all about. I plan on using this design in the near future, it looks perfect. great work! :D

the cab is back up and all, but im reconsidering the way im gonna use it.

reason is im getting that 600 watter going in the closet again.

so what i wanna do w/ the cab is use the mother section w/ the floros for rootin clones w/ my cloner and starting seeds (since i got a pretty big variety right now).

then use the flowering area for vegging.

then when i harvest the girls under the 600...i got some fully vegged ready to go flower.

stayin on top of that ill easily get 4 or 5 harvests a year.

thanks for hangin out those who have been, and welcome to anyone new that likes this.

What a sweet cab! :respect:

Just finished reading this thread and I'm really impressed with your cab design and the way it can be dis-assembled quickly and literally flatpacked. It's given me some ideas that I will use for my mother/clone/seedling cab. :woohoo:

Going to quickly check out your 600w closet grow now.
