YOUR WORST/DISAPOINTED/OVERATED STRAIN(S)

....Actually,I grew DP's Blue Moonshine,and imo it was garbage,too.

I don't give a fuck what Derry from Barney's or Henck from DP think of my comments, they're both so filthy fucking rich they couldn't give a rat's ass what anybody thinks....

Grew out DP Blue Moonshine, and I thought it was just fine.
And filthy rich from seeds, you mean like you???

Dutch passion-Blueberry. Alot of hermies and mutants, little blueberry taste or smell

Strange, I have popped 40+ DP Blueberry seeds (bought 1 pack and made some of my own), and have not had a single hermie, even when I've put them through absolute hell. All have tasted absolutely incredible. There are differences, but its always a candy-like experience. Smoke candy. My mouth is watering now.

Man, really weird... Maybe it was a different batch and I got a good pack? Or a mix-up? Or (I don't want to say it but it's a possibility) a rip-off?

That sucks... Tell you what, I am growing out a DP Blueberry sativa-leaning phenotype and if it turns out great I'm willing to send you some clones, Mr. Nevermind.

No high hopes have been dashed, my only negative experiences were with freebie packs of KC Brains, strains were K's Choice and something else. Every single one hermied at the smallest stress, like squeezing a stem to promote sidebranching. It was pathetic. You get what you pay for I guess.

I've read all the way through this thread and only one thing comes to mind, One mans trash is another man treasure. Could this be the case?

I'm not sure if I posted it earlier in thread but the only strain that REALLY disapointed me was Reeferman's Odin's Hammer. Most were hermie, and I mean hermie with as many male flowers as females. Seeing I was growing about ten other strains with it and none of them hermied in the least I'd say it was geneticaly induced to herm. The few that had more female flowers than male were total bunk, shit would hardly get a flea high. They said maturation time was in 8-10 weeks so I tried 10 weeks, then 14 weeks, then I tried 18 and finaly I tried 22 which gave me something ALMOST smokable. It was the only time with any "store bought" seeds that I felt totaly ripped off. I think he still sells that crap too.

Any say Lowryder yet??? Now that is some absolute crap.

Extremely low yield(I averaged 4-6gms per plant) and lack of potency. Only upside was the sweet smell.

I was very dissapointed in Reeferman Cherry Bomb 2,all BC Bud Depot seeds, and KC Brains Mango.

Lowrider it is not a strain,I'd rather take it as the growing method of keeping cannabis plants under a 12/12 photoperiod from seedlings. Who gave this name to a strain was: 1) very stupid
2) very stoned.

Ok,

Hindu Kush, when the packets have 16 seeds only germ one. ( sensi seeds)
Big Bud, much hermies ( nirvana)
PPP, hermies ( nirvana)
sensi especial totally inestable ( Kannabia seeds)
Big Bang good yield but very low high and many problems ( Green House Seeds)
Arjan´s Haze 1 many problems, also the waether can´t help me ( Green House)
Special Skunk good yield with a normal normal slow high ( Female seeds)
Blueberry mutants ) Dutch Passion

This results only in my experience.

Greetings friends

I'd have to say Hashberry is the most talked about strain that did very little for the Lucky crew. Grew very well, had two phenos; one very berry, one more skunky . . . neither got me very stoned.

mandala Mike is a great writer though! ha ha and the packages are so nifty!

Yeah Lucky, I feel ya, just like Sensi Seeds cool packaging I have, and their "HASHPLANT" has nothing hash about it. I grew 9 seeds out and they all were the same. On all female plants (6) the trichs were meager and not very apparent. It is a dark green indica with a sweet smell and hardly a high. Now I know that there are great local strains around here that are frosty and some from Seedbay I've gotten are frosty also,, but Sensi' HP sucks, for $150 you'd expect ALOT more.

I´m totally agree with you, and now the packs only have 10 seeds... :badday:

Indeedy :) ; i guess that's why it's a real treat when we do score with a surprise strain . . . at least Mandala's are priced right lol;

what their worth /what the price = degree of nirvana

ww ~ wp = N (scale of 6 to 10)

with due respect to you lucky 7 i would let the plants finish next time before judging them quite so harshly.

as far as the Hashberry smoke goes, this is where I'm at (see above comments); I, too, await the decent cure. Hopefully it'll take on some more euphoria, perhaps a bit 'O somethin not yet there . . . . it does induce sleep, though

The yields were not as expected, it really grew vigorously, but never quite hit that jumbotron I expected . . . oh well!

the hashberry certainly isn't the most powerful strain on the planet but it is billed as a classic chill out weed anyway so all out potency isn't what should be expected.

the mandala strains are pretty far removed from many commercial offerings in terms of what they offer so i would not be surprised if they are under rated by sections of the community.

cured hashberry

on topic i have been underwhelmed by a fair number of strains, most from fly-by-night hacks but occasionally the big names in the business too. i have specifically been disappointed by a couple of strains sold as inbred lines which grow like unstablised polys.

i have found that the results of the breeders work often doesn't disappoint as much as the politics of the market. sometimes it seems like a case of blame the hype not the cultivar. peace, love and seeds.

eight weeks is long enough . . . lol; sure they could've gone another couple weeks, but they aren't sativa dom . . . I've taken a lot of plants early, none reacted so poorly; I stand by my comment.

they were very mold resistant, very vigorous, and easy to grow

with a name like hashberry, one should expect . . . dare I say, more than a seven? that's my only beef here; don't buy these seeds & expect to get anything medicinal

Obviously mandala mike has gone to great lengths to bring these to market; that doesn't make them worthy of a name like hashberry
