TORC, I've heard that generally Puna Budder is a hard strain to germ. xxbluevelvetxx had trouble germing with those twice I belive as well. Suppose to be some kick ass herb if you get 'em to germ and live though .

Waste of Time/Space = Any Lowryder Cross (Lowryder x Afghani for me).

Nirvana's Early Bud, 9/10 seeds germinate but only one of them was (lousy) female, rest males...nomorenirvana...

I HAVE SOME NIRVANA WHITE WIDOW ,WHITE RHINO & K2 THAT WILL KNOCK UR SOCKS OFF!!!! although they did have bad germination though but get them to grow & they are WINNERS!!!!!!

Shaolin, I was just getting on the computer to post an update on Puna Budder germ. rates. I put three more between the sheets and whoa, all 3 germinated and 2 have now sprouted. I sure hope they do turn out well, I also have heard that it is very good.

KC Brains NL Special sucked ass.
Grew like a 100% Sativa. Airy buds with no real potency.
Not NL, and most certainly not "special", IMHO.

I saw KC Brains seeds selling at 55 bucks a pack recently and I thought Gypsy had sold them much cheaper before he dropped the company. I am sorry to hear that so many had poor results with his seeds. Some I examined were not mature in the packages and I knew the germ rates would be very poor as they looked green.

Seeds can take a long time to finish properly sometimes but it is necessary that the seeds develop to the point of showing markings to be prime. Keeping stocks fresh and properly stored under refrigeration is all I can do besides making sure they are mature. I select each seed personally before sending them out.

Nirvana has many fine strains and I would urge those having past results less that stellar to give nirvana another chance because Gypsy has said that some problems that did occur had been corrected. I would want another chance too if you were unhappy so dont write off Nirvana seeds. They are a very fine bargain.

btw, I know you would hate to out another breeder, but is there anything you have grown' BOG that you feel wasn't up to par?

IMO this thread is very informative ....you can see paterns develop where people had problems with a specific strain or breeder. It is good because obviously 1 report could be a mistake 2 reports could be coincidence ...but 3 reports ...it's gotta be something wrong with the genetics / seeds etc...

lets me know what to avoid in the future, and in that sense it is a positive thread.....

well, in my eyes.... this is NOT a negative thread. in fact, it's a very positive one and besides there are multiple posts always running regarding "best" strains. Nobody is attacking any breeder... we are protecting and looking out for one another and that is a good thing.

i have a thread called your holy grail that you can list your favorites and strain names that surpassed your expectations. it just seems time and time again you get something you didnt pay for when ordering seeds. if your willling to drop good money on a pack of seeds expecting it to be one thing and yet get another its gets old after awhile. out of about the thousand i have spent on seeds only about $300 was worth it. i am not downing gypsy at all (hes got a great thing going!) its the breeders that are pawning off stuff with fancy names and inflated discriptions that we need to look out for. i mean who do you go to when you drop $150 bucks on crap? i know its not always the breeders fault either. some people dont know a thing about growing and can barely get germanation right so we must consider that also. but like zep said its paterns we are trying to identify and acknowledge and avoid becuase some of us work hard for our money. bog you have nothing to worry about.... your seeds are fucking great and i have grown out three of your strains and have always had 100% germination results and always got what i paid for. your bogbubble kicks my ass and the lsd gave me a panic attack!

so far kc brains should get a new hobby and nirvana can sometimes give you shit. i personaly grew white rhino from nirvana and had great results. good shit. i like to be able to grow pot that is better than what i can off the street and if i grow out seeds that cant beat that than its crap. white rhino by nirvana is better than what i can get off the street here in massachusetts.

citral - primetime!
hawaiian skunk - a bouquet from maui ~
blue mystic - huge yield and very berry ~
bubblelicious - wrigley's juicy fruit anyone?
super skunk - wonder expando ~

does anybody know the nirvana strain that was giving out the problems? I have heard from a few folks that the durban has a less than desirable germination ratio but that's about it.

oh and BOG... his beans are supersolid, so no worries with them.
Reservoir same.... as I have done extensive work with both of these breeders product.

Another point to bring up might be where not to purchase seed stock , however i'm not sure this would be tha thread to do it in . I lost my ass on some seeds from Kind Seed Co. The Chronic turned out lookin like some mexican schwag . Seed peddlers need to exposed . Bullshit to keep givin them money . Gypsy has a good thing goin and im more than satisfied with my Bog seeds!

i agree with zepp i think this a good topic not only to weed out the bad breeders but the but the sellers also. the problem with writen text on a screen or paper it will sit still and let any one write on it ( be warned).

im turning 48 this month and started growing at 23 and had one strain going for 10 years from clones till a fire hit and took the house to the ground i cried. for me i never new thats sites like the seed bank was around till i got my 1st computer about 3 years ago (ya a late bloomer) and now im at a point i can start to grow again and need to now do to pain from injury.

a post like this helped me in knowing where not togo.... its a shame that you get some one like K.C. brains to put the screws to people cause all they see are $ in their eyes. if it wasent on purpose the guy should have made thing right. for me the quality of customer service and product comes 1st, when you have those two combinations you need not worry about the $
because the repet buisness keeps the breeder or bank in the $.

and BOG - i have read nothing but good things about you and thats a +++ in my book sir. my 1st on line buy was Gypsys Divine Medley low cost which fits the wallet with just the wife working, so we will see how it goes. and bogs strains will be my 2nd pick up.
for bog to stick up for Gypsy nirvana and by doing this puts his rep at stake and that says something about bog......

I also grew out a pack of Magic Crystal a few years back , said to be a white widow/ Cali orange cross . stuff was totally schwag ! they had good germ rates and decent female/male ratio , but more like hemp than weed - no fun at all .
Always looking for something new but my all time favorite is still the Chemdog clone ..... just ordered Rez's Sour Diesel V3 , very excited !

Arjans Haze has been just the weakest individuals I have ever seen. They are about 2 months old and I don't even know if I would like to chance waiting an additional 11 weeks to see if my intuition is right

I hear alot about NLXBB.. it was one of the first thing I ever grew and I really liked it.. maybe if I grew it now after some of the great strains I have grown since, I may of ended up thinking it was weak like alot of you guys.. I grew high quality seeds awhile back, and most didnt germ, and the ones that did stayed very small with mediocure smoke.. my last grow was blockhead.. most didnt germ and of those that did only one was a female.. it is a mutant that has really odd leaves till about 2 weeks, but once it takes off it grows well and puts out great smoke.. I have a flowering room full of the mutants right now..
