lol, i remember when i was working in this duty free store, old people getting stopped with a full basket of stuff trying to walk out without paying for it "oh dear, where is my head at."

course there where some that just stuck stuff in their pocket and said the same lol.

I miss gas stations that washed windows and checked your oil -my kids think I´m joking when I tell the of thet and of gas wars between stations.

15 cents a gallon was a long time ago.

I was a night time pump jockey myself back in the mid '70s, I worked @ a small Texaco station in Yonkers NY. Of course it was a 'full service' at the pumps as you mentioned, the usually nasty bathrooms folks would find at service stations I kept flawlessly clean.

I never got to run the pumps...I always thought the attendents got to keep all the cash. My brother wanted to be a milkman for the same reasons...or else he was thinking of other benefits:woohoo:
