All right people, enough of this crap!

I started this thread almost 4 years ago for people to write about amusing antidotes or insights about how nice it is to live way outside of the city..

The past few pages have turned to crap, with people fighting over perceived differences.
Lady Guru, you did kind of start this, with your insults to S4L, assuming that he was insulting your femininity...

Let's get this thread back on track please...
Most country folks know how to get along....

You're missing it entirely.

Would that be hateful of all men?

If you read back a bit you'll realize she jumped into S4L's face over Palin being called a bitch....

Which offended all women apparently and nobody is cool with me asking how men liking boobs angered anyone.

I never told anyone to do anything.

Your opinion is of as little value as "Lady"Guru's.

Thanks for fucking up what used to be an enjoyable thread.

I hope it was worth the trouble.

I notice you didn't even try to defend your words, if they were directed to your daughter. Very telling. :tiphat:

Coming on here telling women to become whores, telling them they have no value, is something you would never allow somebody to say to your daughter. It's disgusting, and you know it. Why you choose to sling this crap on others online just shows the type of person you really are. Good day.

You must not of read what Lady Guru said..... He had been sending her pm's saying anti women stuff. Then it got pointed out in two different threads with hateful post directed at women, yours being one of them. I would think the answer would be not offending other board members, and if you do, apologize like adults. Just my opinion. :tiphat:

You can walk to your gorilla grow in less than 15 minutes, and you don't have to cross a single road to get there...

 ha ha, you can do the math and tell that that's a very old cartoon.

"almost 6 billion" world population while the total as of today is 7.7 billion.

Soon enough, nobody will live in the country anymore!:tumbleweed:

at this rate, "the country" will be composed of nothing but national parks in a few decades. assuming the land is not privatized & sold to the highest bidder. several states out west have been trying to get BLM & National Forest property (which belongs to ALL of us) given to the states in question for YEARS. kiss hunting, fishing, camping, etc goodbye boys...

When I fly across the country, all I see is open land. Where I live, its all open land with abundant resources. That is the great part of living in the country.

Did you guys know, you could take the entire world population, give everybody homes, and they could all live in the state of Texas? That means you could farm the entire rest of the planet. Plenty of country for everybody.

Smith, you are probably right about stuffing the whole world into a place the size of Texas. But, it sure seems like they all came to Colorado instead. This place is a mess. The mountains are so over run with peeps that you have to reserve a camp ground during a holiday weeded months ahead of time.

Rivers are fished out where there is water as the front range is sucking them dry from over demand.... and just try and get you boat on a lake here.

I grew up in the country, but Colorado ain't got no country left...

.... I find that hard to believe given the size of India and their long-term over-population problem.:tiphat:

well, they would be very small houses. :) the Japanese can cram them tighter than anyone on the planet except for migrant workers.
those fellows could get everyone on the planet into New Jersey or Delaware. aint saying they would be comfy...

That's bad math, man..

If we did that, there would be 44 people living on every single acre in the entire state...

Yeah, let's try that.....not.

 yeah, how are we gonna farm the rest of the planet if everyone's living in Texas. :D

... of course there would be 'Plenty of country for everybody' but no one would see it unless they left Texas!

I have a house in the West Denver suburbs on a 1/4 ac lot and a cabin in Grand County on a 1 ac lot.

In the mountains I still feel like I am in the country. Dirt road on the edge of a no stop light town. What neighbors there are don't seem to bother each other and we all get along fine. In the city however......the neighbors are always bickering. Some people are just assholes. I won't get into it but I couldn't imagine living in high density housing.

People are different and need space.... When I was a boy we had 640 ac in Eastern Kansas.....don't know what you have got till it's gone.....

I live at the far edge of a small city/large town located in the country and had a recent 'run in' with a neighbor I had never met.

He informed me that a large dead tree that needed to come down on the other side of the fence was really on my property (and showed me the hidden boundary marker) and also said that my fence was 6 in. into his property but he didn't care!

It was a very pleasant interaction, I learned something and now I have a new friend!:)

It really seems to depend on where they were raised.

Country folks tend to understand people need each other.

City slickers tend to be self-centered.

some banned members make up many nics and love to watch you guys at each other

Problem is, they're way too obvious, but at least we find out fast who the new trolls are and can fight 'em off.

.... one of the many 'tells' they've been here before is how fast they get to the 50 goal post.

I was banned from the Farmer several years ago. Consider it a "Badge of Honor". I was pissed at first but never went back. Why.....just to cause trouble....? I have better things to do and moved on.
