Dissolution of Thiosulphate and the electrolysis of Ag9999, we get the same silver ions Ag+ in water.

When dissolved STS in water, associated ballasts are ions S2O3-(toxic).

When electrolysis, colloidal and larger particles of the metal are burdening (neutral).

question for anyone that cares to answer. i can only cook my cs for around two hours a day. i only used pure distilled wated and 99.99%pure silver rods. my power source is 12vdc 1000mamp. on the first day it cooked to 10ppm. on the second day it cooked to 18ppm. on the third day it cooked to 20 ppm, than on the fourth day i cooked it for an extra half hour and now its at 19ppm. got me puzzeled.

The ions Ag+ tend to stick to the metal particles, which reduces their concentration.
Filtering helps to overcome this self-extinguishing.

Before filtration, wash off the black coating from the electrodes into the solution.

ok now in really puzzled, now after getting these strange results i decided to just let it sit for a few days while i thought about things. before my solution was a black/dark yellow colour, now my solution is a strawie/ piss coloured and the ppm has risen to 22ppm.is this enough to reverse a plant or do i need to cook it more.any ideas why it rose after dropping?

is this toxic to the plants too, or just humans?
Silver compounds are toxic.
Silver salts, with rare exceptions (nitrate, perchlorate, fluoride, permanganate and thiosulfate), are insoluble in water.
Soluble salts are generally unstable, in storage they rapidly lose activity.
Poorly soluble silver salt (eg chloride) is not very toxic and inactive.

The least toxic is metallic silver, as well as the bulk metal - virtually harmless.

Silver nitrate is the most toxic of the preparations of silver, white crystals, soluble in water, damage the skin causing burns.
When ingested, acute poisoning occurs, accompanied by necrosis of the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract.
First aid for poisoning - gastric lavage with a solution of sodium chloride NaCl,
with the formation of insoluble silver chloride AgCl, which is excreted from the body.

Silver Thiosulphate (STS) prepared by mixing silver nitrate and sodium Thiosulphate.
Sodium Thiosulphate is completely harmless and moreover, is a medical drug used for detoxification
in case of poisoning with arsenic, mercury, lead, cyanide, salts of iodine, bromine, and elemental chlorine, bromine, iodine.

I have no experience with the STS to plants and could not find reliable information about it.
But I have used colloidal- ionic silver for the treatment of ulcers on the trunk, soaking seeds and germination in soaked RW.
I was spraying on a stem basement 10-12 times during last 20 days.
This didn't affect to fresh pistils appearence on flowering/seeding SKs.
Thus CS may be used as a stem/root antiseptic.
CS doesnt travel from bottom to flowers.
Six SK fem seeds were drown in CS before the planting into RW impregnated in CS.

For inorganic hydroponics it was harmless, but for organic growing can be dangerous by that it will destroy the beneficial bacteria in the soil.
any ideas why it rose after dropping?
20-19-22 ppm, these fluctuations can be explained by an error of the instrument and different temperatures during the measurements.

Sprayed twice a day for 5 days before flip. Both branches have balls everywhere at 4 weeks. No nanners yet though. At first sign of the balls opening, shes going outside to finish the last few weeks in a very shady place.

The branches i sprayed with CS are doing wayyy better then the main stem I didn't spray. It's kinda wierd but oh well, I was going to cross pollenate anyways.

Sprayed with Tiresias Mist. There are almost no signs of it being female.

I made a new batch, hopefully it is strong enough.

I used a 9v Duracell battery, and had the silver wires in a 1 litre glass bottle of water for 72 hours.
Does that sound like it should be strong enough?
There is a whole lot of tailings buildup on the bottom of the bottle, and silver floating on top of the water.

Thanks. :)

I am more and more interested in this subject an in the near future(2, 3 years), I plan trying it. I saw that the marketed product that Snoopster is using(TM) costs about 30 $ an oz. bottle, and they said on their website that it's enough for one branch. In this case, I suppose thay DIY is the way to go. Anyway, I plan on using CS on some strains in a greenhouse, with rooms for each strain and then polinate strong outdoor plants. Is this idea far-fetched ? Some suggestions ?

I would not do breeding outdoors or even in an greenhouse. The risk of cross pollination is too big.

Yeah, I have some stupid ideas sometimes... Untill then I'll try and setup a room, especially for breeding... I still have a lot to learn, lol...

weird ppm raise

weird ppm raise

Hi guys,

I'm facing a weird problem, well actually I'm not sure if it is a problem, but I'd like to hear you guys opinion on this one:

I'm making CS with 9V and 300mA in 0.3l destilled water.

-after 12h it's stuck on 21ppm
-then I sieve it with a coffee-filter and clean my jar and silver
-3h later it's 27ppm, sieve + clean
-again 3h later it's 30ppm with a yellowish, pee-like colour

BUT when I leave this same fluid rest in a closset for about a day, it has become 36ppm (I've tried this twice and same result)

does anyone know what could cause this sudden raise?
I'd like to hear your oppinion on this!

Grtz,
Arnold.

^ No clue but on a different note, I just created my own CS generator with a 7.5V 1 amp power supply. I am using normal tapwater, and what I found is all/most of the elements in suspension seem to precipitate out and collect on the anode. I started at 160 ppm, and after 9+ hours I'm "up" to 80 PPM.

The Tiresias Mist is $20 a bottle on ebay.
I used one bottle on a plant and the thing turned almost entirely male.

I sprayed twice a day all over the plant for 10 days and then once a day for about 12 more days.

I could have gotten away with much less. I actually wish I had left more branches unsprayed so it would self pollinate more.

If you were only spraying one branch per plant, you could spray about 5-6 different branches and get pollen from each.

$20 is worth it for me.

I will be using one bottle on 2-3 clones for outdoor pollination in the next few weeks.

Hi all,great...one question...what if I spray just one lower branch and use the pollen on another female branch of the same plant???is the rest of the plant still smokable??Thanks all u are great..

I am finally using my generator and silver after putting it together quite some time ago. I am reversing an ecsd and a deathstar. Both plants will be pollenating my sour bubble clone, each having their own female to spew on. I made silver until it was dark colored, kinda blue/gray. I didn't strain it, sprayed it for two weeks prior to 12/12 and am still spraying a couple weeks or more into 12/12. It does some weird shit to the plants, curl leaves, little growths on leaf stems, like tunors lol. However, everything seems to be working well, here are the two plants in 3/4gallon of organic soil, they are being flowered under t5 blues.

Thanks for the awesome thread, I am looking forward to some sour bubble x deathstar and sour bubble x ecsd. I have been working with sour bubble males but I love my female and this will be nice to see her expressions in the cross. Hopefully in 2 weeks these reversed ladies are ready to drop some pollen for me.

From my auto seed experiment thread

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=237316&page=3

I just got back from vacation. I haven't been able to get over there but apparently there are hundreds of seeds, some popping out of the buds.

My friend stopped by and left me with a sample of each. I hope to get over there and get some pictures tomorrow.

I can't see these seeds being duds, they are fat and look great. I am ready to call this a success and put my full endorsement behind Tiresias Mist.

I just bought two regular clones and plan to use one bottle of Tiresias Mist to turn them. The pollen will be collected and branches on some outdoor plants selectively pollinated. The clones will be kept inside and vegged for a bit then sprayed and onto 12/12. If i make a thread about it I'll put a link here.

The clones to be turned male are Blueberry and Island Sweet Skunk.
There are over 10 outdoor varieties I plan on selectively pollinating including
durban, banana kush, blue dream x banana kush, bubba kush, strawberry cough, granddaddy purple, mars kush, some skunk crosses...

to any one that cant get distilled water but have access a micro wave,

get a bigger microwaveable bowl with a lid and a smaller bowl without a lid and fill it half way with tap water then place it inside the bigger one and put the lid on but don't fasten it or the pressure from the steam may blow it off. and zap it!!!!!

How this works? the water in the small bowl evaporates turns to steam hits the lid condenses to water and fall into the bigger bowl

I haven't tried this my self just thinking out loud
