Personally, I'm not even convinced that PPM is relevant; the point is to stress the plant, not to feed it. I've never bothered measuring the PPM of my solutions and have successfully made seeds a few times now. If you followed the directions, your CS is probably fine.
PPM must be relevant, otherwise you can't stress the plant
But how much PPM is required? Nobody appears to have an answer for that. It could be quite low, as you are suggesting
We're aiming for a solution that's at least 30ppm or more - it seems that with weaker solutions we can end up with male flowers that have little or no viable pollen, so if you do make it yourself get yourself a PPM/TDS meter, they're not expensive.
i'm already started)) and what u mean "silver tails"?Inzion, I figure my CS is ready when I see silver tails dangling in the solution. Ultimately, the best way to tell if your CS is valid is to start using it. Wishing you success.
What Trichrider said. Also, take a look at High Country's post #964 on page 65. He posted a photo of what I mean by "tails." Looks like he uses silver wire to make his solution.
I've been brewing my cs in distilled water for 2 days and it has only gotten to 18ppms using a 9v battery I sprayed for first time today I've switched out battery and hooked up 12v modem cord with New water also distilled its at 13ppms after a hr how can I ensure that it reaches 30ppm
really need help with this. anyone?
