...to report nowday data on pollen yield and CS (pH 6,4) ppm -

Just create FRESH, STRONG colloidal silver ... there's no point gambling on the quality of old CS! :) And it doesn't cost much
Three times I created FRESH, STRONG colloidal silver using different voltage and volumes, I can do it.
Nevertheless its interesting to me to learn CS shelf life. Its not about cost, its a kind of hobby science.
Today I started to spray on early flowers of my Maple_Leaf clone with 45ppm aged one month.
When it lookes like no point gambling I'd better jump out of the thread for not to irritate and with a respect to topic starter.
:tiphat: Thank you.

Phenom and all others,

Here's the scientific literature upon which the use of silver to induce male flowers is based. Enjoy the file.

now there is male flowers all over the selected plants, after using CS
and some of the capsules are open, but no pollen coming from them

I agree my friend! :) - the more we can learn about every aspect of this the better our results will be :)

But what I meant was just that creating fresh CS is quick and inexpensive, so there's no point _risking_ using _old_ CS :)

Hey pheno. Hows it going? Nice work on the thread I've been following in now for a long time.

Do you bother with clones at all anymore, or just go straight to the fem seed? Seems like it would save a lot of time and hassle, especially on a small 250 watt cab like mine.

About to start spraying some revegged females for the very first time tomorrow. If it ends up working I can't see any need to go back to cloning or revegging- until of course I run out of seeds. Then I"ll just do it again

Another quick question.

What's everyones opinion on spraying for bugs while spraying cs?
I've started my cs regime but I don't think I'm on top of a mite problem I've got so I'll probably need to keep spraying with big spray

i'm tryin to make about month flowering female a hermie, with 925 impure colloidal silver and light stress, good luck to me:)

I think its about time I give this a go. Im starting to do some breeding and would like to at least test this out. Would be great to know most of my seeds are fem before they ever get grown out. :)

great post, can't wait to make my own and give it a whirl! here's a question, can you spray half the plant to make it herm and form seed and save the other half for bud? or once you spray part of the plant the silver's transfered to the rest of the plant and the entire plant becomes herm etc. cheers

Sorry to say my coloidal silver experiment didn't work out. The hawaiian I treated did develop male flowers, but didn't produce viable pollen. The target plant developed swollen calyxes, but they didn't mature into seed.

Going to try it again, as I wasn't applying the c/s frequently
enough.:(

To all:

No thanks for the original peer reviewed paper upon which this procedure is based = pulling the paper off the post.

Will Automatic Battery Float Charger produce collodial silver?

Will Automatic Battery Float Charger produce collodial silver?

Great thread,

I recently had a spark of inspiration concerning colloidal silver generators that's possibly wrong. That's why I'm here. I want other people's opinions.

Will an 18V Automatic Battery Float Charger, as seen in the attached picture, (and here http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=42292) make collodial silver if the .999% silver is put in the alligator clips of the Charger and placed into distilled distilled water then the Charger plugged in overnight?

Or would the fact that it's a float charger mess things up?:thank you:

yes one branch can be treated and the untreated branches will grow normally. me i spray for a few days after visible male features begin to show to ensure that they do not revert back to female growth. one tip i can give is flower your treated plants at least 2 to 3 weeks ahed of normal females you plan to dust as sprayed plants take a lot longer than a normal male to produce pollen. if they are flowered at the same time the regular females are finishing by the time you get good pollen.

so i start spraying with 40 to 50 ppm homemade silver and sometimes strong sts about ten days from being put into flower and then for another ten or so once 12/12 is started. if you are not thorough with spraying you will get very few if any male balls and no usable pollen i have learned this all the hard way. i also use a sticker/spreader for foliar sprays so the solution does not bead up and gets complete coverage. i have a blue dream and lemon larry og starting to flip now and did a j-1 clone before those so it certainly works but there are many ways to screw up and fail.

Lots of big sacks but no pollen

Lots of big sacks but no pollen

I know I've seen it in this thread before, but I can't seem to find it at the mo.

My plants are about 4 weeks into flower cycle, 2 weeks of spraying before flip and 2 weeks after.

The plants is absolutely riddled with sacks, and they're huge, but I can't get any pollen out of them.

What's the deal? Do I just keep waiting?

I've been breaking open a few and just placing them on the buds in the hope this is enough for pollenation, but it doesn't feel right.

What's everyone elses experience?

Wow. Looks like my concerns were a bit premature.

I checked on my 'girls' today for the first time sinced my last post and the pollen was like a snowstorm in there. And after a bit of manual shaking I'm pretty sure every pistil was covered.

If my experience with those sneaky little male plants, even when I yank them out as early as I can, I'm gonna be loaded with seeds.

Bring on the lady seeds!

correct me if im wrong but this seems like something monsanto would b into doing. i mean ur kind of ruining the plants abillity to flourish in the wild as it wouldnt b able to creat male plants. or does this only effect the first generation
