Nata, that's gonna work bro. As long as they have contact it will do it's job. Use a rubber band or duct tape to keep the stuff away from the water and cut your silver wire as long as need be. Silver is an even better electrical conductor than copper.

The only question with using a 9V battery is how long will the one battery last? I'm not sure!
Anybody doing this have a multimeter? :)
Not that it's a problem as you can simply use more batteries, although knowing when the battery is low/flat might be tricky without a multimeter seeing as the process is essentially still and silent.

Alternatively, if you're handy with a soldering iron you could use an LED :)

ive used the same battery 4 or 5 times now running for 22 hrs each time....i figure if the battery starts to go flat then it will take longer to see the layer of silver building up at the top of the water & the wires wont melt as easily ...so far its still brewing with ease.

can anyone provide me some insight on this??

i have a few plants that i really really would like to keep the genetics in seed form BUT i do not have any cuttings in veg. I am thinking about revegging my whole garden then taking one of the ladies out, probably a Cinderella 99 and reversing her using CS. So sprayin JUST her down with my CS a every day for 2 weeks or so. Then adding her back into the garden.

(basically the same thing this thread is all about but using a revegged plant for the pollen) Does anyone think that this will result in Hermi seed. I dont want to waste 3 months on a seed only run if he beans are gonna be crap.

any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Can i use colloidal silver on feminized plant to make a female pollen?
YES.

The feminised plant is afterall still a female!

Actually the first run I went with was a feminised Cinderella 99 - I only had two beans left so I wanted to preserve its lineage. So I grew them both, sprayed CS over one, used the resulting pollen on the other, and ended up with a respectable amount of feminised C99 beans, which some other icmag'ers also have and have grown out. Every bean has grown out to become a female, and almost a clone of its mother.

50,000 thread views! And many satisfied customers eheh :)

PejoPL,
Can i use medical colloidal silver like this, http://www.allegro.pl/item810683784_...a_allegro.html (this is polish ebay) ??
I can't read Polish sorry, but colloidal silver is colloidal silver, so I'm sure it'll be fine. By medical CS i'm assuming you mean the type they sell at pharmacies/chemists/drugmarts - yes you can use that, but buy the strongest CS you can get (that is the one with the highest PPM concentration), because CS made for human consumption is generally at a low level. The lower the level of PPM the more you'll need to spray (and a bit more frequently)

And how target hermie-resistant plant , feminized plant is not always hermie-resistant yes? Maybe exist some tips for autoflowers or same tactic like normal plants?
It's the same as when you create regular seeds -- you aim to use females that are hermie and stress-resistant. This is fairly easy to do if you have a large number of females you can run out and test. If you aren't sure all you can do is hope for the best.

Festivus: Now fire up a torch and hammer the leftovers into a spoon! Better yet: make two tiny baby spoons with holes in each handle.

50,000! Good job phenomenal. Gave the mad scientist crowd plenty to do. I just made a fresh, strong batch after forgetting and leaving it on for 14 hours. Thanks for sharing the knowledge bro.
Peace

HARDHAT, a fresh strong batch is better than a weak old batch that's deteriorated into silver oxide rust eheh :)
The longer you leave it the greater the PPM will rise (although I'm sure there's a ceiling where it 'tops off' at), so don't worry about leaving it 14 hours - that's not excessive, and if anything it'll probably just mean you'll get the same results with less spraying.

Anyway keep us informed with your progress and results! :)

FESTIVUS, nice work just using the 1 single coin and cutting it in half, it'll accomplish exactly the same result at half the price :)
I just had to use two coins though as I don't have any strong metal cutting scissors, but if anybody has such cutters then definitely just buy the 1 coin and cut it in half (or even quarters)

Also I noticed you said "Wired to a 13.5 volt dc power supply", yet your photo proves you'd switched it over from 13.5 to 30V, YOU SNEAKY BUGGER!!!!! lol
My guess is that it'll just mean your brew will cook in less time :)
