wtfn's 4000w legal medical soil food web organic grow show

Bang on mate and you can see they are finishing up when are you gonna do the chop ? are you gonna make any hash from the trim ???

I'm going to take the 1 Blue Cheese plant next weekend, at 9 weeks. The Sublime OG's are going for 10 weeks. As for the purple platinum OG, I'm going to keep an eye on her over the next week or two until she reaches peak ripeness, probably 9.5 weeks.

Hash, wax...we'll see which way I go. I don't have a rig for either one just yet, but I'm leaning toward making some good old fashioned bubble hash with this run. I prefer it to wax, mainly for the flavor, but also for the fullness of the high.

These aren't the best photos in the world, but this should give an idea of how much longer they have...

Look what I was gifted by a grower I met in the city!! Not a permanent solution, but it should get me through Christmas in early flower.

He let me check out his grow, and it made me feel much, much better about my own grow. I gave him a few tips on canopy control, and a couple more on going organic, and brewing his first compost tea. His bud is pretty flavorless but very potent nonethless. Organic done right will make any soil or soilless grower's life much simpler.

Trichs are changing throughout the room now. Things may come around by this weekend for the ppks. The blue cheese will come down any day now. I'm only waiting for the lower branches on the sublimes to fill out. Maybe I should do a second harvest? The tops look like they're just about ready right now, very fat and dense.

Well, this happened.

That's the blue cheese. She's earned her name, all right. This is in a whole other league from anything I've ever grown. I can't wait to reveg her and fill the room up with clones. Dank, dank, dankity dank.

These are her last few days. Just waiting on the trichs to get there...

I got my batteries in for my microscope. Everything is very close to being finished, but the trichs aren't bursting just yet. This is going to be some amazing bud. MMM--mmm!!

Ok, bobble, I've made up my mind. As soon as I pull these down I'm gonna go get the materials to build up 2 4x8 beds and 2 4x8 scrogs to be placed side by side. My plants are flopping all over the place and I can't stand the thought of staking and tying this whole room, and I don't want to build a scrog just to have to rebuild it to fit beds once I get around to building them, so I'm gonna get it all done in one go. I want to do a concave scrog to some degree so I'll have to work that into the mix somehow. Also that means I need to get some soil started. I really need to start selling this crop before I spend the money...

Day 63

Update time!!

I have some really beautiful shots coming tonight!!

I decided to take the Blue Cheese plant last night, at 62 days. I also took out a few plants that suffered pythium from clone, that I had been keeping to the side of the grow area. Many of the tops are looking ready. I guess I'll just start pulling them as I see fit, as fast as I can trim anyway, based on what's ripe. I really want to give the lower branches a chance to fully ripen.

Blue cheese, looks ready to me:

Here's what the room looked like just before I chopped her (lights on, day 62):

As you can see, she clearly stands out. You can also see that the room is getting really ripe and colorful, and the plants are draining the nutrients from their leaves very rapidly.

Here's the plant we've been following. She broke in a few places and I had to tape her together and stake her up, but she's still going strong:

Let's do some close-ups:

be sure to save all of your root balls and fill the beds up with them. my beds are 12 inches deep and they took 4 bales of promix to fill. Get some red wrigglers too.

Nice buds.

Thanks, I'll be buying some red wigglers soon for my worm bins, again I've just been waiting on a little money. I was going to use a mixture of promix, worm castings, compost and FFOF to get started. I may amend lightly for the first run in it, though the plan is still really fluid.

I had to harvest the top half of one of the sublimes today -- it had broken in half and a few of the branches were taped together so I figured it was just best to relieve it of that burden. It's really close to being ready, but not quite there. Everything looks on track for a harvest this weekend, including most of the lower buds. I'm really ready to build that scrog.

The 1 blue cheese plant (that was about 8 inches tall when it went into flowering) looks like it yielded about 66 grams. It may have just a tad more drying to do, but I doubt it will drop under 60. I was looking for anything around 2oz with that plant, so I'm certainly satisfied.

The longer I go with these sublimes, the more I realize that they're in it for the long haul. I could probably let them go for 12 if I had the patience. The potency is definitely increasing, but it's just still not there, going by the buds I clipped a few nights ago. It still feels like a premature buzz that only lasts about 45 minutes. It's pretty strong, but nothing like the other 2. Keep waiting...

I finally got a straight answer about flowering time on these from my clone guy. He said 10 - 12 weeks. Sounds about right. At least sativas sell like crazy out here.

I should mention I quit my day job. I got a gig working from home, making twice the money or more. It's temporary, but full time, with a possibility of becoming permanent part-time, and it's a job in the field I'm trying to build a career in. Perfect.

Day 70

Update time!!

This is the third time I type this update, I keep losing it. I'll remember to copy it to the clipboard from now on before I submit it. Anyway, I started harvesting the Purple Platinum OGKs tonight. The trichs were showing pretty ripe, so I took down about 1/3 of the tops, and I'll be taking the rest down throughout the week.

This is a really heavy indica, with a very potent stone. Like a sack of bricks.

The Sublimes are going to need at least another week to mature. I started cutting back the light cycle on them today, by 30 minutes, then I'll do it again by 30 minutes in 2 more days, on and on until they're done. I need them to completely finish out by week 12 due to time constraints and my Christmas trip back to the east coast.

The lower buds are getting bigger and denser than I ever expected, and the tops are filling out very chunkily as well. I SEVERELY underfed them, even for a week 9 harvest, so they look pretty decrepit at this point. They are still swelling like crazy and trich development seems to be picking up pace so I'm not too worried about it. I gave them a very light fungal tea about 5 days ago followed by a good watering. The smell is unreal. Unfortunately, in the sample buds I've taken, the taste is nowhere to be found, and the high is decently strong but it's still a very clear early sativa high, far from ready. The plant that broke in half last week, well by my best estimation it split evenly in half by weight, and once dry it weighed out to 45g. Pretty good for 2 - 3 weeks early. That puts the harvest hitting the 6lb mark easily.

Anyway, on to the pics:
