Congrats on fixing your a/c. If I was you I wouldn't raise the temps at all. High temps are good early on, but later in flower when the plants are finishing, you want to drop temps. Around 76F and lower is where N production drops and the plant gets the signal to finish up. ;)

Thanks man! That raises a few questions for me.

Should I drop the temps BEFORE I cut the CO2? In your opinion, what time is most optimal for cutting CO2 (the last week, the last 2 weeks, the last 10 days)?
I was going to lower the temps gradually starting at the end of this week, then cut the CO2 early next week (10 - 12 days before harvest). Is that waiting too long in your opinion? Think I should start that program now?
Sorry to bombard you with questions, but you and Mister_D are growing some of the best-looking plants and buds that I've ever seen. At this point, I'd be willing to take either of your advice on just about anything. Tho I think for now I'll stick to a peat-coco mix ;)

Cut temps when you cut CO2. You need the extra CO2 with the additional heat because heat increases plant metabolism, so the supplemental CO2 is needed for increased photosynthesis.

My friends cut CO2 around week 6-8, at least 2 weeks before chop. That is my plan. I've been told that running CO2 too long with actually prolong flower and make the buds airy. I've only finished one crop using supplemental CO2, and I just now got my burner replaced after 3-4 weeks w/o. I can't really speak from experience.

Drop the temps as low as you can (to around 70F ideally) to finish the plants... Plants outside don't get flushed, and they still go through the whole color change at the end of the season when the temps get cold and they can't absorb N and other elements anymore.

Ok, I dropped the co2 back down to 700, gonna go down to 400 early next week. I dropped the temps down to the 70-76 range. Next week I'll take it down a few degrees more and let it ride there.

I found some seeds tonight. 3 so far. I haven't found any bananas, but I probably had a hermie or two from the temp issues.

On the upside, trich development just kicked into full gear overnight. Those PPKs look frosty as hell, and the sublimes are getting a nice white sheen to complement the purple-flecked buds. I gave them their final compost tea application this morning, gonna be water only (with maybe a little molasses) from here on out.

I'm completely ready to close the book on this run, just have to wait it out now.

I found ground zero today: two pollen sacks on one of the PPKs that look like they've been dead and dried for at least a week. There are a few dozen seeds developing right in that spot. I had an oscillating fan blowing right on it too. Ah, well. I'll have some gifts for christmas now :)

Looks like my temps are fluctuating from 70 - 75 lights on, 61 - 68 lights off. Next weekend (8 weeks) I'll crank 'er down a couple more, maybe until nighttime temps are no lower than 59, putting daytime temps hopefully in the 68 - 73 range. This a/c could probably drop it well into the 40s if I let it.

I'll be doing my weekly update a little early since I'll be out of town all weekend. The girlfriend will be holding it down while I'm gone. I taught her how to convert the room into an exhaust-cooled setup if anything should go wrong with the a/c, and also how to tell if something is actually wrong with the a/c.

Buds are swelling like crazy now, making me really happy. Apparently I didn't screw my yield too bad.

Day 47

Update time!!

I'm doing this update on my phone from across the country since I won't be home tomorrow night, or for a few days afterward.

Things are looking great! The buds are swelling up nicely, and color is starting to develop even on the healthiest plants. The ppks are finally getting some purple and the buds on the sublime are all turning purple as well. Really tasty looking.

Over a thousand bucks landed in my lap due to an unfortunate circumstance, so I'll be able to pay my rent this month for sure, regardless of the harvest, so I have the option to let the plants go a few extra days if I need to. I'll probably take them on thanksgiving. I don't work that night or black Friday so it's a perfect chance to get some trimming done.

Anyway, onto the pics..

Thanks everybody. I want to take a minute to show my gratitude. I was always a member of gardenscure before their name change, but I kept a mirror journal here from time to time. When they changed their name and their site I was kind of turned off, and decided to move on. Although there's a great crowd there, I couldn't have made a better move. The growers here, in addition to being helpful, patient and forthcoming, are really good at growin' dat herb!! I'm not sure I would have made it through this grow quite the same way if it wasn't for some of the members here. Some of you know who you are, but others probably don't realize how hard I've been lurking.

Anyway, you guys may resume being awesome now.

:tiphat:
