Some good news... I just tried my first hit of the runt of my first litter and also the one I let mature the longest. It is the only one so far where I can taste how this smoke smells when growing. I mean I can taste overtones of the tangy funk you get when rubbing the main stalks of these, although the specimen in question had some smells while growing that I thought were bad. It was a mutant baby in its growth pattern and was dwarfed, yet produced as much as plants twice its size, more dense buds and had an orange scent to it unlike the others as it got later into flower. I can taste these same tangy funk overtones in good Blueberry and someone else commented after rubbing the stock that it smelled like cheese, I assume the strain. Never had cheese personally, but I assume that is complimentary. So yes, I am bullish on this strain, especially for the price. If I ever get my shit together and do a serious grow, I will certainly run some of this, not because I got a few hundred seeds out of this last run, but because it is something I think most smokers would appreciate from time to time. I also suspect i have not really found "the one" yet, so I am excited about the possibilities. I do not have the male used for pollinating these and creating the Bhutanese x Afghan cross, but I do have cuts of all of the mothers, so I am in decent shape to not lose any ground if i don't find some dramatically better specimens as I grow out more seeds.
Here's a few bud shots, keep in mind this plant was the farthest away from the LED and still produced this density, telling me that the light works and more importantly, phenotype has a huge impact in the end result. And judging a book by its cover in plant selection is folly.
