Going to that page in any way will log your IP with the feds. The paranoia comes from whats called the "referral header", which is more used with advertising and things like that. Just clicking on it from here won't send a referral header showing where you came from. I still wouldnt click on it though...

just a question to pg3..... if the americans can invade sweden and take over some of their servers for info sharing (which is still currently legal in sweden), you honestly think that some rules will stop them from goin after someone...mind you they'll have a reason (u state ur inside their jurisdiction and are a huge commercial grower), dunno just MO, but i'll always try to be safe instead of sorry, funny enough after i visited that website a company called ICANN tried to access my comp a few times through back doors, luckily i have good security, makes me wonder...traced the adress and it was in maryland usa...hmmmmm

cool didnt know what they were i'm a bit paranoid too lol..
no it was tcp listen port 3567 or 3576 not 100% and too lazy to go check, no i traced them they were trying to get on my comp and slipped past mcafee....my backup one caught em, and let me know then i traced it back to ICANN (with mcafee so who knows if it even was really icann).....
and yea they didnt exactly invade pressured the swedish government to arrest and confiscate the operators and servers for www.thepiratebay.org
go to their site and check it out...they got everything back in the end but thats only because they didnt have acctual copies of the pirated/copyrighted files...they just connect the people that do

In a nutshell its like telling people you think your being followed.. but only when you go outside during the day and its sunny. In otherwords dont sweat it when you find ICANN is shadowing everyone. [ with those 13 master DNS root servers that tell all internet traffic where to go and how.]

ok SERIOUS update....so i kinda freaked out and called the prez of ICANN that night that it happened left him a message....got a message back today while i was at work...
Basically they are just a link....kinda like torrent search engines, dont really do anything just link users to users. Well it turns out that the IP adress i quoted which was the one that tried to F**K with my comp was NASA...(I.P. 129168.1.101 check it out yourself if you dont believe me.) also they told me that their sister company IANA (check them out too if your doubtfull) was involed and if it linked back to IANA it was a spoofed or faked IP....
WTF why would a government funded SPACE PROGRAM of a foriegn government( U.S.A., FUCK YOU REBULICANS) be trying to access a P.C. ....especially as mine hasnt even been up and running a full year....
IF you dont beleive me thats cool, but depending on the respons i get from NASA, i will be going to a local MAJOR paper, as 1. i have proof on my phone msg and call display, and the records on my system.....
2. they have better resources than i do and more $$
3. i think they would gobble up a story of NASA trying to hack their neighbours computers...sounds like a scandal....

But why would a NASA root server be probing his system and intruding on open ports unless he has a DNS server? But is instead just hitting random IPs? Thats just strange. Not to don the foil hat but I would be concerned too. Id almost be flattered if a root server was checking out my system but its still concerning from a surveillance and privacy standpoint.
