Why is ICMAG linked with GOOGLE?

then click on "show omitted results" and I got a whole list of my posts as if I clicked the "find posts by rubberband man" button.

I wouldn't expect any forum to block the bots. Thats a retarded idea because thats where all the content is located. Don't post anything that's a security risk to you.

Gotta agree with RM. Don't show pictures of anything that could link you to your hobby. IE - cars, landscaping, bills on the table, special jewelry. There is only so much that LEO is able to do right now in regards to the net.

How many people here had grow shows on OG? How many people who were just regular forum members get a visit from LEO regarding their hobby? I'd like to find out, but I don't think that it would be anything to be concerned with. Just use your head.

The only people that I ever hear about getting busted for pot are those who are selling it and have a massive ammount of traffic, get pulled over with a large enough quantity that the cops had the right to search their home and those that are just plain fucking stupid and tell everyone. For me, this is the only place that I can be me and free to exhibit my hobby and learn from others. Kinda like having a double life. Except only you and your spouse know about it.

For them to go through the expense and international hassle of tracking you down by your IP and then explaining why they broke the law in order to take down your massive 4 plant personal grow just doesn't make sense. They'd be crucified in the media for pissing away probably a couple million bucks in taxpayer's money and it would eventually be a contributing factor to the death of the drug war if it occured on a frequent enough basis. They don't want to lose their jobs so they'll keep on pulling down the big huge busts with tons of cash and prizes to make us out to be demons so they can continue to have jobs.

Just my two cents...

One time on fark.com a guy posted a picture of his wang in the fourm, so I searched for his alias, turned up shit loads of info about him. So I told him what I did, and he quickly deletes his myspace etc of course... but then I tell him I already saved it all and I could still post it all in the forum. So he begged and begged, but I ended up posting the info anyhow because otherwise he wouldn't really have learned his lesson.

Anonymity is a very important aspect of the internet, you need to protect yourself.

Yes if you run a canna site you need members* and users* in your robots.txt file. It's one thing to spider posts but the user profile should be off limits to the bots.

Nobdy is "safe",there are folks that work multiple shifts whose job it is to put us in a cage for gods sake.On the other hand when I google up a five year old thread under my current or another handle,it just shows me I'm really concerned about nothing,probably..If you never come under suspicion/investigation,I dont think google will be your demise lol

Good point, but if you do come under investigation it could turn a small case into a huge one very easily. Id think a prosecutor would be alot more harsh on someone that has 5 years of pictures and records of his grows.
