This one may or may not have been the best Afghan but sadly she got thrips too bad to save and got binned three weeks into flower.Just put the hashplant ak cross into flower. Not much movement in terms of veg growth since the last photos, this thing is one of the slowest growers I've done. Let's see how she does in the stretch

Wow Chemdog and Sour d tame , really ?.World of seeds Afghan Kush is still in the top 5 strains in potency I've ever smoked.
Makes sour d and chemdog seem tame.
I can't smoke joint after joint of this stuff like I could Sour D, it can cause you to "crash" or couchlock if you smoke too much. Definitely after work meds. Immediate narcotic euphoria, strong head high that makes you laugh your ass off when overdone(requires very little) great for entertainment . I highly recommend fermenting the flowers, I did and it was spectacular, 2-3hrs effect.Wow Chemdog and Sour d tame , really ?.
Must be crazy potent , does it make you fall asleep after a few Joints ?
It's a THC dominated cultivar, I don't think there was any CBD/CBG/CBN in my favorite plant, so it's like an immediate dopamine rush, starts from your head all the way down to your feet, like a narcotic but the headspace is all good vibes, no paranoia, but definitely hard to form sentences, stupifying. The seasoned smokers I sampled this with were accustomed to NYC piff and NJ sour Diesel, everyone had a good laugh after 2-3 minutes. It's giggly weed.@Shua1991 their descriptions on the website says “ not at all cerebral “
the ferment must have altered that ? You try it both ways ?
Sounds like a winner I hope you throw a grow log on that huntIt's a THC dominated cultivar, I don't think there was any CBD/CBG/CBN in my favorite plant, so it's like an immediate dopamine rush, starts from your head all the way down to your feet, like a narcotic but the headspace is all good vibes, no paranoia, but definitely hard to form sentences, stupifying. I tried the flowers plain and then fermented, the fermented flowers were like 4/1 in potency. About .1-.15 was my dosage, while a .5 gram of flower got me about the same 2-3 hour high. The fermented stuff was more immediate, like proper one hitter weed. I've got 10 packs of this strain waiting for my flower room to empty, I'm definitely finding that plant again.
Your description of Maruf is very honest, I practice it and find it similar to yours, that's what I like relaxing, not too narcotic and puts you rested, some phenos were the top for extraction.I can't smoke joint after joint of this stuff like I could Sour D, it can cause you to "crash" or couchlock if you smoke too much. You may need to grow around 10-20 to find a few good ones but the potent plants are all low yielding, they are susceptible to Powdery Mildew and botrytis, so it isn't for everyone but you can find some really rare effects, still haven't had an indica kick my ass like the WOS Afghan Kush.
I recently grew Maruf black/red hybrids and the effects are nothing alike, those were easy going relaxing and anxioliytic, similar to the Kandahar hybrids I got from Delta 9 labs (Hawaiian x Kandahar/ SFV OG x Kandahar).
Not as good as I thought they would be, they have heavy pest resistance and some benefits but overall, weak chemotypes, not the Kandahar that provides euphoria.BLACK SELECTION
Kandahar Black Selection from Maruf (Kandahar) and of the fields of Haji Agha.
This is perhaps one of the best specimens, along with all of the other crown jewels catalogued during this project from various provinces.
Our Black selection features a completely black embodiment from the leaves to the very flowers. It also expresses a very desirable bract to leaf ratio with big yields of dense resin coated buds that can take a beating in the harsh outdoors of Southern Afghanistan.
The aromas on this plant are built around the common elements of smell found in this population which are on a completely non-sweet tangent and represents smells which are basically a complex mix of earthy, spicy, acrid and sharp phenol-based smells.
The beautifully etched buds on a robust structure, which are both dense and covered in copious resin at the same time.
There were several other completely Black individuals with exceptional qualities as such but none more desirable than this one right here in all its glory, encompassing all of the best features in a single plant.
● After all the selections are made it’s time to take them to the dry house and wait for the drying procedure before de seeding and extraction can begin.
● The resin extraction usually takes place during the month of December when the season is at its driest and the resin has cured to some extent.
● Here in Kandahar they usually dry outdoors before crushing everything down into large piles of biomass which can then be stored for long periods of time and used for extraction when the time is conducive.
● We will further look at the dry house and extraction sites as well to completely understand how Kandahar Hashish is extracted from fields to Gold seals. This is a typical extraction facility in South Afghanistan wherein the farmers sieve their material dried under the sun.

Question: has anyone grown these out ? In a OP are they consistent or the phenos all over the place?
All im finding is 10/$150 if they can be found in stock. But she is pretty!
Im looking for a dark rank one desert type indeterminate branching with some fox tailing when it stacks on weight. Musky menu, seems like most people like the fruity strains these days If anyone sees one im open for suggestionsNot as good as I thought they would be, they have heavy pest resistance and some benefits but overall, weak chemotypes, not the Kandahar that provides euphoria.
Not the same, high thiol(funky) production hash plant with high CBD production, maybe 1/1 - THC/cbd, not exactly a stimulating chemotype. I would also call into question if that plant is even a close relative, considering the bud formation and leaf structure.Im looking for a dark rank one desert type indeterminate branching with some fox tailing when it stacks on weight. think this is the same?
*bodhi seeds/nierika seed trust/supernatural selections/medicine mountain/synergy/landscape of desire* ... Nierika has always been mostly non profit, funding seed .

Good question from the old school indica/sativaHow does everyone define an Afghan these days? Broadleaf?, Terps ?. short stature? or just the region the seeds originated from?.. I'm finding Poly hybrid looking Sativas in Afghan seeds.. That Bodhi Black Kandahar looks like mostly Sativa. Do Afghans typically flower faster or is this not an issue ?.

1. | Plants usually with a THC/CBD ratio ≥7; terpenoid profile usually lacks sesquiterpene alcohols, fresh aroma often pleasant. Plants ≥ 2 m tall in good habitats; branches flexible, diverging from the shoot at a relatively acute angle (<45° from vertical). Fresh leaves medium green in color; central leaflets narrow (length/width usually >6), lanceolate to linear-lanceolate; margins with fine to coarse serrations, sometimes biserrate. Mature female inflorescence somewhat compact (flowering stems producing small to medium “buds”), with relatively obscure sugar leaves (a high perigonal bract-to-leaf index); sugar leaves with capitate-stalked glandular trichomes (CSGTs) usually limited to the proximal half of the leaves; perigonal bracts express a moderate to high density of CSGTs. Mature achene exocarp color (beneath the perianth) often green-brown.
A | THC/CBD ratio always ≥7, often much more. Mature achenes usually ≥ 3.6 mm long (Fig. 3e, f); perianth mostly sloughed off, but often persistent in places (appearing as irregular spots or stripes); exposed exocarp exhibiting prominent venation; lacking a prominent protuberant base; not readily disarticulating from plant | var. indica (“Sativa” in the historical sense2) |
B | THC/CBD ratio usually ≥7, sometimes less. Mature achenes usually <3.6 mm long (Fig. 3g, h); perianth persistent (covering exocarp and its venation), with strong pigmentation in a mottled or striped pattern; with a protuberant base; readily disarticulating from plant | var. himalayensis |
2. | Plants with a THC/CBD ratio <7; terpenoid profile includes sesquiterpene alcohols, fresh aroma often acrid or “skunky.” Plants < 2 m tall in good habitats, and often ca. 1 m; branches not flexible, branching sometimes nearly 90° from the stalk axis, producing a menorah-shaped habitus. Fresh leaves dark green in color, leaflets of larger leaves sometimes overlap; central leaflets broad (length/width usually <6), often oblanceolate; margins with coarse serrations, rarely biserrate. Mature female inflorescence compact (flowering stems producing medium to large “buds”) with prominent sugar leaves (a low perigonal bract-to-leaf index); sugar leaves have CSGTs extending more than half way down their length; perigonal bracts densely covered with CSGTs. Mature achene exocarp color (beneath the perianth) often a lighter shade of olive green to gray.
A | THC/CBD ratio <7 (almost always >2). Mature achenes usually ≥ 3.6 mm long (Fig. 3a, b); perianth mostly sloughed off (appearing as irregular spots or stripes); exposed exocarp exhibiting prominent venation; lacking a prominent protuberant base; not disarticulating from plant, and often trapped in the dense inflorescence | var. afghanica (“Indica” in the historical sense2) |
B | THC/CBD ratio often <2. Mature achenes usually < 3.6 mm long (Fig. 3c, d); perianth persistent (covering exocarp and its venation), with strong pigmentation in a mottled or striped pattern; with a protuberant base; readily disarticulating from plant | var. asperrima |
1 As emphasized in the text, the differences presented here represent unhybridized plants, before extensive recent hybridization between them.
2 Historically, as discussed in the text, “Sativa” formerly represented landraces of South Asian heritage, and “Indica” formerly represented Central Asian landraces. This key is not intended for the identification of “Sativa” and “Indica” strains commercially available today. |
Pamir Gold smells like fruity wine. When smoking the taste starts with a fruity pear taste that transforms into a chocolatey peppery after taste. It is definitely a funky unique flavor.
She leaves you with a very pleasant uplifting high that is not too overbearing. I think it is a great daytime get-shit-done smoke! After about two hours the high starts to fade and becomes a little more relaxing.
