Deps are going up. The OG my guy has going out now is at 18. He was thinking a lot less just a few days ago as he was drying. I tried to tell him numbers were going up, especially now with no supply available, but I didn't think he was gonna jack me up with them.

Oh well.

Seems logical that the next 8 weeks are pay off time for deps. The end of last years harvest is insight. Prices drop again with the fall harvest.

Right now depps are impossible to find for less then 17. 17-21 seems like the ticket. Lots of people looking for 17 and 1750's.

OG 1650
Gelato 1650
Cookies 1650
London Pound Cake 1600

Average prices for deps are between 16-18 all day in my area . What's going up are the ins...crazy tickets I've been seeing. All the way up to 34....

What level are these quotes and what part of the state?

Grower door price? Broker price? SoCal? NorCal?

Underground source? Backdoor of a permitted source?

It's a big state and wholesale has regional differences and tiers. Numbers need context.

Norcal. Grass valley. Seeing the same in Humboldt. Basically all of norcal. Grower or broker. Brokers put so little on stuff now it's only about a point over grower price after going through 3 brokers. Backdoor is the same.

Seeing ins in so cal for 34. Its bittersweet as I love taxing my own work but brokering currently is a nightmare. Glad growers are finally getting something closer to fair.

Supposedly the increase in price has shocked buyers. My friend in Mendo called it a "system disruption"... LOL. People love the prices when they fall, hate it when they recover. Me, I just want the best buds he's got, and don't really care about the number.

16-18 greenhouse.

Ok just wondering because I recently mentioned numbers I saw here to a broker in Monterey Bay area and he insisted they were higher than what he was seeing. That was two weeks ago now. Although he was also referring to big lots of 10 to 50.

I can see brokers getting squeezed by rising grower prices and buyer resistance to paying more due to being a new development.

The past 10-15 years have been so much different than it was before. I arrived in this in '78. Then and on well into the 90s, there was a very regular annual cycle to prices. There was the Fall harvest price that ran through the holidays and then prices began rising steadily, month to month, peaking in summer. Typically about 100 per month. There was usually some grumbling at each step but everyone knew the game. Then they would drop in October to about the previous October level.

At times you would arrive with a load at the new higher price and there always the guy who was going to stand his ground. Acting like it my greed at work not the market, and I was lying, and insisting he was going to do better. So many times some days later he'd call back asking if I still had units at that price. I can see there are young guys now who haven't had experience with that kind of market dynamic which used to be the norm.

I'm hearing similar things. massive hq cannabis drought continuing throughout July and into August despite predictions that it'd level off.

makes easy sense though. tons of people on unemployment smoking more than usual + many large grows getting shut down due to legal issues and covid 19 restrictions.

I got a whole bunch of gas indoor drying right now.....and some packs of gas outdoor from the 2019 season that I'm about to put up for market. it's a great feeling know that us growers will get more close to a fair price.

massive gratitude!

How's it work there? Can you sell directly to dispensaries? Do you need a licence? Surely it's not a free for all.

I'm trying to figure out why prices are so high there. If this is off track, feel free to PM me.

It was a free for all until California went legal recreational. It drove the price down.

Now you can't sell to a dispensary without a license, and testing. Their are tons of unlicensed, delivery services, and store fronts.

The rise in price is simple supply and demand.

I am sure the lock downs have increased demand, coupled with many large unlicensed farms being shutdown over the last couple years, a rise in price is inevitable.

I am paying 28 for singles of nice gassy ogs, soul assassin, sfv, white angel, etc. The wedding cake has gone up to 32, from 26 a couple months ago. All indoor obviously.

hey, I'd love to get some opinions.... lets say you had some gorgeous aesthetically perfect indoor gas but, it turns out there's about 3-4 mature seeds per gram in it....you can't see the seeds, you have to grind up a gram or two and then they're apparent....... what do you think a ticket on something like this should be? If there weren't any seeds I'd say 25, easy..... I've heard people saying that it basically makes it greatly less desirable and maybe slightly seeded ins like this are worth only 1k/unit now. What do ya'll think?

I hope this isn't too out of line for this thread it has to do with wholesale prices so I figure it just skates in
