It's time too raise prices!!! Stress, pressure, risk these are things not factored when dispensary's & brokers set prices! Growers have been dropping like flies look @ all the new faces in the hydro stores! We have enough ammunition to justify it!! It's not as if there are a dozen dispensary's in Cali that have more than a couple strains that merit the top shelf! Water, para military chopping plants, pest & disease if your able to bring quality to market it's only fair to get back to 2500! I'm gonna do my part!!

Gone are the days of $5k--a time when you could make a big time mistake and still squeeze out a profit. Welcome to the days of $2500 (what my "non-og" goes for)--where if you make one fuckup...you will be lucky to "break-even"....no margin for error.

Ahhhh, the "barriers of entry" in this industry will always be "experience"...can not buy that in bottle.

Live or die by sept-oct weather is too much stress for me. Next season all recycled materials and free compost courtesy the mushroom farm is all I'm fucking with. Never hitting anyone elses concentrates again, too many dumb fucks with botrytis and who knows what else just willing to blast it and drop it off to a local collective... No good.

It's even funnier when someone who has never grown tries to calculate your expenses and then try to dictate what you should charge. They always leave out half the expenses and never factor in space or time spent on it

IM THE MOTHERFUCKER who buys all the damn near brand new equipment off Craigslist...

One of my trimmers is about to lose his 12 light rental house over not being able to pay the PG@E, guess who is taking it over....

Its not like it used to be.....

i keep telling all my homies…rental houses are so hard to pull of nowadays…your the expert on that KB but most of these kids just dont know.. unfortunately good commercial space in the city is damn near impossible to find for cheap…so most are forced to pay up or call it quits.

i pay 500 a month for my 40x60 40kw warehouse, and the commercial power bill came in this month for just shy of 2500….gotta love the boonies.

meanwhile the homie down in the bay is paying 1500 to rent a house for 8kw, and paying over a thousand bucks a month in PGE….

the math definately aint adding up as good as it used too.

Rents up in Marin-ocino are always thru the roof, more now than ever. Yet, "No Grow" is the rule in almost all housing opportunities.

Scarcity of good country houses on the Coast can be attributed to the fact that there are not that many houses in the first place, and any desirable house is going to go to a friend or relative now. Or is being used as a Vacation rental.

More than just a balancing act anymore. Ya really got to buy the property, and at those prices, we are back to the trustafarians in Marin-0cino.

They often prove to be like gung-ho grom surfers at a shop. Buying a new board, wetsuit, hood, booties, gloves, wax, leash, board bag. and rack for the car. Then on the first or second session, they realize just how DEMANDING it is, the extent of the commitment necessary to succeed, and How easy it is to get hurt (fail). The equipment goes on CL within a month, usually. Sound familiar KB..? haha..

For most transplants, especially Males - there is little or no support
from people already there. Sometimes, quite the contrary..!

An example of how easy it ISN'T.. One of many.

I had a 420
card-carrying neighbor who tried everything to make my life dangerous and
miserable for 2 seasons. It was an understatement to say that He didn't like the Lady Landlord She prevented Him from living on his acre illegally, by calling the authorities whenever He camped out with His buddies, drinking and carrying on. So, He had
to wait until He could afford a modular home. This redneck HATED her. So He threatened Me (on Day One, detailing his arsenal) regularly. I was up to the task, but it was no fun. I utilized extreme Psychological Warfare, and scared Him so bad one night that he begged me to take down my 3-man tent, that was within slingshot distance from all of his doings on the property.

How it started was that She moved out of
this beautiful end-of-the-road house with a Hot Tub, not because She didn't like
the property - it was beautiful.

She was in fear of this Tweaker behind
Her. So She bought another house with the help of Her Wealthy Hippie
Wannabe-Gangsta Surfer Pretty Boy who happened to move up there from SoCal 5
years before I did and grew tons of SD. It was a BIG 5 years to be there. Those
who were, and did good work, were rewarded with properties, plenny titties, and
"Vassals" to carry out their crappy tasks for a bit of money or scissor hash.
They lived as veritable gods. Some truly carried themselves like benevolent
masters. The locals HATED these people.

One Guy in Comptche got threatened
either pay 50k or get stuck like a pig. He left. I was glad, what a tool, had
designs on my GF, and anything with two legs. It became plain rather quickly
that da GF was a pot ho, who loved money, as all Mendo women are/do. Looking for
the likeliest Grower to live Off of. And FINDING them. From one to another.
Spreading whatever cooties they all have up there from fucking each and everyone
at some point. I was told this by a very pretty mother with a family, who had
apparently doinked every man in the room at the party, before Her marriage. What
an incestuous scene, made even more so by the secretive nature of the
"Biz."

So, anyways, She with the fake Tits rented it to me for 1550/mo,
and never told Me about the conflicts.

Gave me permission to install a
permanent 43 foot long greenhouse. Which She uses these days, as her family
lives there now. Guess 759K was a bit much for the house.

After I
returned from Amsterdam one Year, all renewed and stoked for the indoor season - I was informed that I didn't pay the "fee."
Apparently, the 1550 every month wasn't enough, and She expected a kickback.
Well, My partners (term used loosely) made sure I had very little money after
all was doled out, so I fired them. But, She still wanted a couple grand.


When I refused, She told me of the impending House sale.
And I could stay while it was shown, as the Realtor was "Cool."

"No, I said, no
one's cool. Here's my 1 month notice."

House never sold at that price. The realtor
was thrown in jail for raping his own niece after administering Roofies. And I
was thrown into massive inconvenience to find a new place. It took 8K+ to make
the move.

Found another end-of-the-road place, stayed for 4+ years,
started out at 1700/mo. NOT worth it, but I had privacy, and the all-important
"OK.:" P's of MY Chemdog were still 42-44. I Stayed til the market beat Me -
Wasn't really paying attention, I guess.

It was turning into a "Shitshow" as we called it. The SS continues.
