That kinda reminds me of heating up dry rocks in a camp fire then burying them under your tent for overnight camping warmth. Never actually tried it but I hear it's the bee's knees

That reminds me of the scene from Jeremiah Johnson where they put campfire coals under where they're sleeping and he wakes up because they burnt through his bedding

Yeah I need to get an oscillating fan in there just to stir the air around. Tonight it will be a heater though.

Tonight to ward off the colder temps I think I'm going to lay containers full of hot water on the base of the plants and cover with a tarp til tomorrow to get them through the frost tonight. Anybody have experience doing this?

tarp the greenhouse completely after sundown and frost won't be an issue for weeks.
heat in the ground will keep that small greenhouse warm.
you want to stop air exchange with the outside.

covering the plants might wreck your trichs, no?

I covered the two full season plants last night with warm water containers underneath. I'd rather have damaged trichs than frostbitten plants. When I woke up this morning I could see the GG4 up the hill and it looked all pitiful. I thought that maybe it was smoked but when the sun came out and it warmed up it perked right up just like nothing had ever happened! Really happy with that. I guess I wasn't giving them enough credit but I didn't want to take any chances.

As far as the greenhouse goes I closed all the windows and doors and put a little oscillating tower heater in there and that kept it cozy no problem! I'm sure I'll need to put the GG4 in there as the weeks go on to avoid more frosts but I'll let her ride it out where she is now for the time being. The Black Lime Reserve needs another 2 weeks I think, the Cocoon will be pulled sooner than that. The greenhouse will need to go til the middle of November at least.

It's bee pollen that I put on the plants to feed any predator mites in the absence of bad mites to eat to hopefully keep them around. That bee was flying by and found the jackpot! I just today posted another picture of The 3 where the fan leaves are starting to purple. In my experience it's not as much a factor of temps so much as how far along in flower they are when they start to throw color. The 3, 2.0, and Garlic Breath are all starting to turn really dark purple colors on the fan leaves.
