i heard it the other day, it was the best i've ever heard, straight from her heart, nation was just at war, it was freakin awesome, are ya listening roseanne

Yes it was the best BUT it was lipped synced as the real recording was done in a studio.

My grandma and her sister are nine years apart in age, the younger one took every kind of pill the Dr's would give her the other would take aspirin.

WE buried the younger one 3 weeks ago and in the end she had no idea who she was and looked like NOTHING like her former self, the older one is now 92 and still works and is sharp as a tack so all I gotta say is these damn pills are bad in so many ways it's not even funny anymore now that they are hooking kids to be life long addicts.

Sad But True

seeing someone as talented as she WAS die is sad ........ no sarcasm meant

but what is really sad is you can be a non drug addict in uniform, fighting a war you did not start for politicians you don't respect, and when you wind up dead nobody even hears about it on the news because you don't matter........

and lets up the ante just a bit ....... your family may have to deal with a bunch of fuckheads picketing your funeral because they are anti war

sorry whitney died but she did nothing but serve herself her whole life ....... and she is almost worshipped for it.

reality check anyone?

if that ever happened at a funeral I was attending I would promptly be arrested for beating the shit out of the picketers. And I'd be totally cool with chillin in jail for a bit because of it.

What the pastors had to say went over your head then?
The only meaningful thing that I can make out of pastors is "assport". And the closest I'll ever get to g.o.d. is my d.o.g.

While all that weepin' and bahooin' was happening, dozens of crackheads died, little girls got raped, and hundreds of African babies died of starvation. While I'm happy for the warm fuzzy handjob y'all got from that funeral, the sad fact is the woman pissed away a great talent, a fortune and her life on crack, booze and who knows what else. She sang some pretty songs. Get over it, and try to do something useful, rather than sit in front of a toob, and watch her estranged family and friends circle jerk each other. Seriously. But I will let you know every time a crackhead dies in my city, while you've got your tearducts warmed up, might as well keep 'em used.

I wonder how we'd all appear to the public if the moment we stepped out our doors until the time we found refuge, there's at least one camera in our face. Hundreds, maybe thousands of still pics - and all of em end up on the floor except one or three stills that accompany whatever story angle's being purported.

On our best days we'd still have unflattering pics. And part of the public would feel we should raise our standards (higher than theirs?) because we did something well enough to be liked. Somebody said there's a fine line between love and hate. For untold numbers of fans, untold numbers would hate you - just because you're there.

One silver lining is even though your demise wouldn't tame the internet for even the briefest moment of respect, you could rest assured that 99.99999999999999999% of em wouldn't act that way in person.

i would never wish what the media can do to a persons life on anybody, ever.

the same critics who put you on the A list are there to shred you as soon as things start to slip

........but they are playing what the crowd wants to hear.

the only thing i feel for whitney is pity ..... there is not much about her life that i would envy, but the microscope she got to live under for the latter part of her life would be the last thing i would want. kind of funny how the shadow from the spotlight looks like a bullseye

Some court the fame, glory and adoration. Get paid to entertain, act, sing? You're under a magnifying glass. Most of us don't pursue that life, so we don't experience the constant scrutiny. HER fans paid for the privilege of watching her perform, buying her product, going to her "comeback" concerts where she was unable to perform. Those fans should have been at the funeral, not the famous and not so famous that leeched off her for yrs, but couldn't love her enough to help her. She was a CRACKHEAD. Sad, yes. But she self destructed yrs ago. Stop your whining and lamenting, ask not why Whitney had to fuck up and die inspite of her professed LOVE for her GOD, but why nothing, even her faith or anyone elses faith, could help her. And why others with faith still suffer and die, along with babies that hurt no-one. Reason is there is only this life, and crying to get help from above is just as effective as betting on miracles to solve ANYTHING.

My point is that the woman is dead. Might the disparaging conversation take a break for at least their passing?

One can justify their hard look at reality all they want. But when somebody dies, it's customary to put a sock in it.

I know there's no such thing as a sock on the internet. But the funny thing - if we're identifiable we'll act like the adult in the room.

I like ya, DB. Yer a good fella, and you aren't wrong. But the sad fact is that most of the weepin' and wailin' here (and on tv and on the street) is self serving, fake horseshit. None here, or out there, weep and wail when any other crackheads drown, they don't hold tv services for starvin babies, and they don't call out gods name to thank him for a rape and murder victims life. If they can gnash their teeth, and rend their robes in such a false and dishonest manner, isn't it only right that others be allowed to point and laugh. I'm known for telling the truth, to a face or a screen. I've lost friends for being honest, bluntly honest, and I've walked away from friends when I wasn't allowed to be myself. I'm no poseur, you've known me in a different life, and I was the same then, and will be the same in the future. Do as I say, not as I do is bullshit. Bury the bitch, and let's move on. She's where she belongs.

You know what it's like to be cast as a pothead. In one way you take it as a compliment until you realize you're being laughed at instead of laughed with.

Like I say, make your justifications all you want. But the woman is dead and typical custom is paying respects - or not. Nobody's saying you have to behave.

But to drag the shit out when they die is something that didn't happen when folks didn't communicate anonymously.

You have to turn it into crying an wailing when a few stoners are merely doing what people do when folks die, paying their respects. If anybody's crying and wailing at a funeral, I typically consider they're bereaved.

You can make your crack head analysis sound as logical as you want. But it's not very logical to pin an association on a demographic, then analyze why we're not more consistent. We're just paying respects for someone who died.

If you don't want to that's fine but you wouldn't walk into a wake or funeral and respond this way.
