Holy sh*t that was amazing. When I heard the news I was not surprised but still a bit shocked. Definitely was a bit sad as she was such an incredible talent.

An r&b icon has been lost. We all have our own personal issues that we deal with...so let's not focus on her issues, instead let's pay respect where due & celebrate her good times.....
She had, arguably, the best female r&b voice ever....simply amazing (as the Super Bowl video shows). Her music created MANY memories (& babies) for those of us that were blessed enuff to experience Whitney in her prime.
She gave so much to the world thru her music.
I hope that she is at peace.

R.I.P. Mrs. Houston for sure. I remember when Bobby and Whitney first hooked up, ahh shit the girls just went nuts. That union threw a stone in so many young women at the time games.

If only I could have thrown myself on that yummy hash and weed, and prevented her from smoking it, she might be with us today. Burned out, crackhead diva drowns in bathtub from a combo of pills and booze, pissed away / partied away career and brilliant voice years ago. Sorry, but "BooFrickenHoo". Her life and death do more harm to "our" cause than 100 armed SWAT raids. "Drugs are bad, M'kay, look at poor Whitney". Plse. Rend your robes and tear out your hair somewhere else - booze, pills and crack killed her, and she took every single pull, prescription and pipe with gusto. Perhaps knowing how she threw it all away was something she couldn't face.
Funny thing about celebrity tradgedy...part of you feels sorry and
part of you feels "what did she think would happen"?
For me, I prefer to remember her for that angelic voice that comes along far too infrequently.

I didn't want to read some of these post so I thought I'd day it's looking as if she fell in the tub hit her head and drowned.
She was found underwater in the tub with her legs stick up (in the position that suggest) she slipped fell back hit her head slid down into the water and passed on.

Whitney Houston probably died from a combination of the drug Xanax and other prescription medication mixed with alcohol, citing family sources who were briefed by L.A. County Coroner officials.
Coroners informed Houston's family that there was not enough water in the singer's lungs for her to have drowned, and that she may have died before her head became submerged in the bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where her body was found Saturday
