white russian/chronic/hashberry grow

What is up all?!!! Come watch as I try out my new grow closet!!! :woohoo: I'm starting out with 15 total.

10 ss white russian (I hope it's strong as nutz)
3 ss chronic (generously traded from a friend)
2 mandala hashberries (sounded very interesting :chin: )

My space is 45 inches x 23 inches x 8 foot. I'm vegging with a 400 hotilux right now, but plan on getting a 600 hortilux startin' flowering. :bigeye:

I'm using a 265 dayton for the exhaust with 2 4 inch passive intakes at the bottom. Temps stay between 70F and 89F (just at canapy level). Humidity is between 40% and 53%.

I'm hoping to get 7 or 8 females from this seed grow. :puppydoge I can comfortly fit 8 three gallon containers in there. I figure if I keep all single cola plants I should be ok with space.

These pics are takin' at about a week or so into veg from poppin' up. Not much to look at now but hopefully I'll end up havin' sumin for you guys to peep! :canabis:

They are really at around 4 weeks veg right now and I should have sum more pics tomorrow.

Oh yeah... for those who care... they're in 16 oz dixie cups with...

47.5% spagnum peat
47.5% perlite
5% EWC
with 2 tbs/gal of dolomitic lime. Gotta luv the pH control and Mg. With that mix I've never had a germed seed not pop up. To me it's dummy proof. I just started using the EWC but I'm seein' nuttin' but love!:

I'll holla back tomorrow wit sum more pics!

Thanks pontiac!

Well as promised here's the little ones now.

They have all been transplanted about 2 weeks ago into 1 gallon containers. The mix they are in now is the same as my last post stated plus I added a 1/2 tbs/gal of each bloodmeal, bonemeal and kelpmeal. I transplanted them when sum got a little droopy (got a tad rootbound) and their 3rd node was startin' to develop. And I've been using good ol' tap water that has been sittin' out and the pH of it is 6.8

Here's sum chronics...

The two hashberries I got are a little more than a week behind the russians and chronics. What can I say but the mail was a little slow!

Anyway, here's a pic of one. It's been in the 1 gallon for about a week...

damn that cabinet is gonna be bushy give it a couple of months. keep it up with the grow man. cant wait to see what that wr turns out to look like

Well here they are just a few days later.

Nothing exciting happening...although I will have to note the next time I make up a mix I'll go a little less on the amendments I mixed in. The leaves aren't burning but sum are wanting to ripple real bad if you guys know what I mean. Otherwise, I can't complain. Most are ok... there is one russian doing it pretty bad. I don't have a pic of it but it doesn't have any burn on the leaves either.

Anyway, check 'em out... Here's sum russians... :woohoo:

And the hashberries...

I can't believe how fat the leaves are on the first pic. It's so fat lookin' it almost looks like a spade...let's hope it's an Ace!!! :biglaugh:

Here's a pic of it up close...

:lurk:

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that 2 of the russians have shown sex already. So far I got one boy and one girl!! Of course I'm gonna keep him around just to make sure. The sex is still real small. I'm sure I got the girl though 'cause there is two white hairs growing out of the calyx.

Looks good mate but…. 15 plants, your going to run out of space I think. Unless you hit 12/12 now. Good luck

wantaknow, thanks for poppin' in. I hope my russians turn out convincing enough to add to your collection!

JWP, thanks for the good luck. I hope I don't get too crowded in there. Before this closet setup I used to grow 4 female plants trained, bush style in a 2'x2'x5' box with a 250. Now that was crowded. It can't get no worse than that. :biglaugh: It was a pain in tha' ass really. But I tried later on to lower the number of plants in there and always got less in the end. So I figure what da' hell?!!!!!

GreenBastard, it's luck really. I sent on order to www.seedboutique.com for the white russian seeds. By the time 3 weeks had rolled around I got impatient and ordered from www.drchronic.com the hashberries. Well, not even a week later the russians showed up and then the hashberries about a week later (that's why the hashberries are started late). And my friend traded sum russians for the chronic and BLAM...I got sum good strains out of the long pointless story I just shared with everyone!!:biglaugh:

quick update...

quick update...

:lurk:

here is a chronic...

here's the hashberry with the fat ass leaves...

And sum russians...

And so far I believe I have 8 females! :yoinks: 5 russians and all 3 chronics! The hashberries are still a little too young to show but I'm hoping for one good female.

Like I said before, I only have room for 8 so any extra I'll give away to a couple buddies. Well... maybe I can squeeze in 9! :biglaugh:

Beautiful plants, Don, and nice setup. Congrats on the 8 ladies!

What does your nute mix look like? Good experience in the past with it?

Looking forward to seeing a pile of juicy buds coming out of that sweet box! :joint:

Thanks for the kind words Cured. This is the first time I've really used amendments in the soil other than lime.

I usually use 50% peat with 50% perlite with 2 tbs/gal of d.lime. I then just use the PBP line of ferts. I wanted to try to make it even easier, so I added bloodmeal, bonemeal, and kelpmeal to the above mix at a rate of 1/2 tbs/gal.

Well, it seemed to work :woohoo: 'cause all I'm doing now is using straight water when they dry out. Believe it or not, that mix is a little strong and is making some of the leaves ruffle a bit. So on the final transplant I'll be diluting that soil mix a little.

I read on here and OG that most people use the amendments in the soil at a rate of 1 tbs/gal. If I did that I'd burn the shit outta' em! :yoinks: Of course for some reason, no matter what strain I grow, I can never get my nute level up to what most on here call full strength. From what I've read, most use the PBP ferts at 1 tbs/gal. The most I can go up to is 1/2 tbs/gal, and I still get tip burn and ruffled leaves. I can't figure out why?.?. But that's why I started out at half strength with the amendments.

What's up guys?

I finally got the 8 females I wanted to keep transplanted in their 3 gallon containers. They were all a little rootbound but hopefully I can whip them into shape!:whip: The 5 russians were transplanted about 5 days ago. And the 2 chronics and 1 hashberry were transplanted yesterday.

Just a little longer to go before the real action starts!!! :woohoo:
