white russian/chronic/hashberry grow

Thanks for the advice Mike. I've tried to cut back on the perlite and always get overwatering. As of right now, I water these plants every 7 days. :yoinks: I stick my finger up to the knuckle in the 3 gallon containers and still feel moisture even then.

I'm just buying the 8 quart bags of Spaghnum Peatmoss and Perlite and mixing them bag for bag. I've always wondered why it always took me longer before waterings then most but never asked.

So why do you think that is????? :chin:

Well, it sounds like you are just giving them too much water at once. That way the soil gets waterlogged. You know you are watering right if your plants use up the water every 2 days. Smaller and more frequent waterings have several advantages: more oxygen reaches the roots; bud mold and fusarium can be prevented better; nutrient uptake is enhanced; you can cut down on the perlite.
I don't see why you shouldn't get the hang of it. ;-) If you use a 1000cc cup to water you can measure the dosage properly. Start with one pot and give the plant 500cc of water. Check how long it takes for the plant to use that up. If it's longer than 2 days reduce the amount appropriately.

The plants look like they could use some mineral based bloom nutes. Stems are purpling and the leafs are losing colour. Otherwise it's looking good.

I grew out the Hashberry here is an example at day 50 flowering. You are doing a wonderful job on your thread, updates, and grow as well. I'll be watching your Hashberry, Dr. Duck.

Looks like you have some nutrient problems but are getting some damn nice buds anyway, the White Russians look good to me. Good diary for me as I am vegging some Russians now and I plan on doing Hasberry some time, so I enjoyed reading this :)

Stonerat.........When you use bloom nutes there is no nitrogen in them ,so at the end of the plants cycle it uses the stored nitrogen in the fan leaves for any vertical or horizontal stretching while the buds are swelling.....There is absolutely nothing wrong with the pics of those plants whatsoever.......Great job with all your strains dewd .........hashberry sounds yummy and well Ive got white russian and chronic so anyways take care and PEACE..............DHF................ :sasmokin:

Thanks for stopping by guys.

And yeah, at about half way thru flowering I don't use hardly any Nitrogen at all... I like 'em yellow. :yummy:
