Where's a good place to live in Michigan?

Your date for the HashBash is incorrect .
It's always the 1st Saturday in April man .
Cheech n Chong are at the Ann Arbor theatre this yr too if I'm not mistaken on April 3rd .
Peace neighbors
Crispi

Crispi is right Hash Bash in Ann Arbor is the first saturday in April, the 3rd this year. Cheech and Chong will be playing that night as well. I plan on attending all the festivities.

Try Flint. I lost all my links, but I specifically remember seeing $3500.00 houses. Can say much for the hood, but it's cheap.

More north. Thumb area. Detroit is a pit and so are most of the suburbs that are close.

I'm moving to UP. Winter rocks when you have a place that's 80 degrees and sunny every day - and it's only a few steps away from your computer!

If you plan top grow I wouldnt choose Grand Rapids. They just passed the states toughest moratorium on growing med marijuana. You have to have several inspectors come out and look your grow location and then pay the city a ton of cash every year to get a city growing permit. you cant be so close to this or that far away from that. Its is just a mess over there not mj friendly. Besides that Grand Rapids is a blast. Two great grow shops. Great restaurants are abundant. Three malls are spread across the city aswell as 4 great music venues. I would move to the G.R. area just out of the city limits. Best of both worlds.

I have narrowed it down to Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo is more of a smaller, cooler comunity than GR, but both are nice. I'm from the GR area and more or less grew up there.. I don't dislike it, but for a more progressive minded person, I think Kzoo would be the whip.

What MGK said, K'Zoo's got more of a liberal vibe compared to GR. I live SE of GR and like it. Quiet countryside, close to GR for conveniences. If you're an IT person, you can pick up work, at least contracts with headhunters/agencies. Good luck!

Honestly... MI is suffering horribly & work is scarce. People are loosing jobs left & right while the Metal industry is shipping its work over seas & Farmers are loosing their farms. If yr intrested in moving here to grow GR & Kzoo both are fighting the MMJ scene pretty hard amongst other slightly bigger citys & Detroit is NUTZ. So If I had to chose I would be in the woods far away from any city pref amongst the many old fasioned farmers that live there. :)
Niles, St.Joe, New Buffalow, & Stevens Vill, MI are all fairly close to Illinois :) Hope this helps.

Ur making me homesick. My mom and sister live south east of gr as well. Over in the Alto area. I make a trip back every year for the holidays.. however.. after 2 weeks, I'm ready to come back where I live now (New Hampshire) where the nearest interstate highway is about a 2 hour drive in either direction.

I must drive past your house when I'm home for the Holidays! My mom and sister live about 1 mile (maybe less) from Campau Lake.

I live in detroit and I've lived on the westside my whole life and recently moved downtown. While some can't take it in the D, I've grown up here, and I am relatively young. I love it, I think moving out of the city is just asking to get caught, I'm always paranoid in places like westland, livonia, redford and I hate it. If you really want to move to MI I'd go to Hartland or places out there past milford/brighton I love it out there. Nice, calm, and not to many cops.

Oh and I also lived and went to school in kzoo and it's almost as bad as Detroit imo.

the people in the midwest are some of the realest people on the planet.

You can move in tomorrow and most everyone would treat you like they are good friends who have known you forever.

you wont see anyone arguing about og kush and who has the real chemdogg in MI nobody cares people will share and you wont find to many fakes in mi! I personally love the city which is detroit. there are so many business opportunities soooo many nice neighbor hoods except the east and west side. i live in west bloomfield hills yep jobs are good if you are jewish or arab.

Off topic: You know how the media reports that arabs and jews hate each other well its really no difference then how the media views black and white in america. Some feed into the drama and some just live! As we all should do!

Detroit is the place to be if you want to do your own thing without worying about the petty things in life that most small town cops look for. i can guaratte you that you will be able to grow as much as you like legally or illegally in the city of detroit. lol they just dont care!
