Man I can't believe none of you guys have heard of MET52.. it's the OnLy thing I have found to completely cure a RA problem.. Myself and hundreds of others are finally finding this out... Shoot me a PM to see a thread about the Met from another place and where to get it. The stuff works, plain and simple.

multiple folks in this thread have/are using met52. I have it seemingly working on some plants, but killed some younger plants that the aphids won out against the met52.
As for MERIT/IMID or met52 being the single handed weapon to decimate root aphids; i caution all those that preach this as accounts of the opposite are not hard to find.
I am still deep in the experiment stage, and until i have multiple grows exhibiting no aphid signs, the juries still out.

I have root aphids!
I thought that the root rinse and change of medium would help, but it didnt. roots are brown and smelly and im like wtf. so i put a microscope to the roots and there it was.
I hope the store is open today. Happy New Year

40amps- I picked up malathion. are you applying it as a soil drench at 2tsp per gallon?
Man is this freaky. I have one plant in my bloom room that stopped growing a week ago. She was on approx. day 20 when she stopped drinking overnight and turned crispy overnight. I been dealing with aphids for six+ months and when I say overnight, I mean overnight.
All plants were treated with imid, spectracide, botanigard, and met52. I am praying that I somehow forgot to add the met to this plant at transplant, but seems unlikely. Here she is in all her horror. She spent last night in freezing weather, where she will remain.

I guess its obvious keeping infected medium is not an option.
Definitely not worth it. Toss that shit, clean like you never cleaned before, treat, and then hope only to control them. Did you get the met info? If not pm me and i'll search through my pms and find it.

I would bet my next harvest that is what most of you have.
I have them all in my coco, very tiny little white bugs. Does not damage plants from what I can tell. Every time I harvest a plant I find them all in the roots. Gnats also tons of gnats, but these bugs don't really have an impact on yield or quality
The damage you are probably seeing is watering, PH related.
I would bet my next harvest that is what most of you have.

every time I check out this thread I think the same thing..
maybe its time to take a step back and start with the basics. ditch all the crazy stuff and just go with plain water, basic nutes, and PH drops.. I've had problems like this before and after pulling hair and questioning everything I know it turns out to be something as simple as a crappy PH meter.
im having similar issues im 99% sure its my coco i use blackgold brand im gradually switching to perlite/vermiculite simply for the aeration properties my coco is staying wet even without watering roots are not drinking up leaves are yellowing some spots on them the plants i have in 100% perlite in smartpots are the healthiest ones i read through this whole thread im not sure whats up with my girls but its the medium for sure i had a bro test the runoff its in the 1000s right out the bag so its a combination of something affecting the roots... good luck bro hope you figure that shit out asap !!!

I bought new coco, taking cuttings, treating with malathion ( because its what I could find).
I dont know what to do with my stunted seedlings. I hope they re-root.

As of now I only have clones in fresh clean coco. I bought the slightly more expensive brand this time treated with the malathion (be careful with this stuff, I think I caused myself brain damage it stinks so bad). Then there is diatomaceous earth sprinkled all around them the perimeter of the clones.
I am not sure its the coco's fault as I was pretty care less with keeping it dry, and keeping the space clean.
