Nokuy, Old Man Time has already said it. We are here to procreate and preserve the species, like any other animal. If you want some esoteric reason why man is here, join a religion. religion tries to give purpose to life to people who fear death and don't want to go.
Every animal has his time period. Dinosaurs were around for a while,ate everything in sight and left huge piles of shit behind. Man is doing the same thing. Just get your self into a position where you can do what you want to do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. I think that it is all you really want, anyhow.
If you really do find out the real meaning of life, don't tell anyone. They will just be disappointed.

To be left alone to do your own thing. Ah, the life of Jeremiah Johnson, to go out on your own and deal with folks at your own choosing. But it didn't work out for Jeremiah either. Crow Indians hunting him down, Calvary knocking at his door wanting a guide through the passes, an arraigned marriage and acquiring a kid. He even later became the law for some town. Just didn't work out, no matter how hard he tried.
It doesn't work out that way for any of us either.
I used to dream about disappearing in the Yukon or NW Territory, building a cabin and living off the wild, et al. The life of Jeremiah, in the last possible place to do it. But, we humans are social beings, we require someone to talk to, someone to have sex with, someone to try our new recipes. Even if we did go out on the total alone, just like what happened to Jeremiah, people still come around to harass ya. Even in the Yukon or NW territory, the RCMP would probably show up with a warrant to arrest me for trespassing in National Forest or for canning jam on a Wednesday.
Speaking of canning, I can almost everything. Mostly things I grow myself. I live as self sufficient as I can. Hell, I don't even buy ketchup or peanut butter, make them myself (among lots of other things) and can a year supply. To give you an idea of how much I hate commercialism and modern society. I'm all for homesteading.
Just like you, I just want to be left alone. Leave me and my grow alone. I don't sell, distribute, or anything. It gets canned like everything else around here. I pay my taxes so the government can afford to forcefully impose their will upon the rest of the World. What else do you want from me - leave me alone. And folks mooching one thing or another, is really getting old...smack, smack, get off my cloud.
However, I can understand some of what you're coming across. I, too, merely exist. I no longer have any real goals in life. Possible goals, simply don't interest me. I don't want a mansion, I don't want to sail around the World, I don't want an SUV, I don't want to be a rockstar, I don't want a big screen TV,... I don't want anything the Jones' have. This weirdo, thinks they're weirdos.
So where do we go from here? I continue on. I spend my days taking care of disabled children, mine, I'll be doing it for the rest of my life. I entertain myself by thinking I'm self-sufficient because I grow and preserve most of our food and build everything instead of buying it. My only desire is more land to grow more of the foods I think I need. But even that's easy to get, this world still caters to gold.
A simple life - but as I grow older, I find life is seriously boring as hell. You live, you work so you can live, eat, and screw, then you die.....now what?
My only request is, leave me alone and let me do my thing - I'm safe and harmless, so you don't need to worry - make laws - police me. My only setback is, I'm bored as hell with life and the routine I must endure. I need things to do beyond that of existing.
This has always haunted me, I used to "bounce" alot. Seen most of the world and discovered - it's the same everywhere. So now what?
Well, you need to do the things you enjoy. No matter where you go, people mess with ya - you just have to pacify them enough to visit, but leave ya alone. I make myself content and even get pleasure from the things I do. I wallow in my world of make believe self-sufficency, growing and preserving our foods. If, I'm not doing that, I'm building or making something. These are the things I like to do and really all I need. As they make me happy or at least content.
My current projects are: Building a new grow cabinet. The old one, just doesn't cut the mustard anymore - it'll be dedicated for growing tomatoes.
The tree I chopped down a month ago....out of the stump, I am carving a Buddha - just for the hell of it. And I am going to build computer desk, complete with stealth stash places for my "things."---and of course, elaborate carvings on it as I'm into that sort of thing.
Life on it's own meddling about to exist is boring as hell and it's the same everywhere on the Planet - just different scenery. So you must find things in life that keep you busy and happy. It's all I have to offer. Do whatever it is that gives you simple pleasure in life - as long as you're hurting nobody else, who cares...take simple pleasure from it. You're going to toil to survive for the rest of your life - nothing we can do about that, that's life. So find something in the notches that make being here a little bit better for you.
It's either that or crawl under a rock and fossilize so some archeologist can find you in a hundred years and say, "hey look I found proof early homo sapiens smoked weed."
It doesn't work out that way for any of us either.
