What's the weather like then??

Okay I've been there late August and late November.
So what type of weather late April? Cold... rainy... nice...? Temps?
Going to start packing soon, it takes me awhile to be sure I don't forget anything. Should just make a check list.

Anyone that's going staying for Queens Day?

For Queens day you'll need ORANGE. I'm sure you'll find plenty of orange garments lol in Amsterdam. After 9 years of visiting i've yet to make it for Queensday, but I hear it's quite the party.
Last year we had rain and some beautiful sunny days.
I woud always bring raingear to Amsterdam, also it can often be windy in Amsterdam.
the temp is likely to be in the 10°c to 20°c range.

Thanks for the info. A question about the tours. Do you hit the same shops everyday? If not do you have a daily list or idea which ones which days? How long does the tour usually last? I'm trying to plan out some things to try and take in as much as possible.

Thanks

Bring your sun screen

Bring your sun screen

Just a joke
Plan on it being chilly and dam with overcast skies and about a 30% chance of rain at any moment. Lucky for us this only happens when the sun is behind the clouds. Like mom tought me dress warm and in layers and be prepared for wet weather. You should be fine at all measures anything you need can be bought in Amsterdam.

We will party like its 1999

Bike tours

Bike tours

the tours are somewhat impromptu, and will most likely depend on the riders. also on how many people decide to come along for the ride.

On the 18th I will be heading to the dampkring or dweede kamer for some haze fuel for the longer ride out to the Katsu :yummy: and a spin around sir phatty park. :joint: depending on time maybe the club media then head back to fat city as I imagine many will want to see BOG'S seminar. :chin:
I want to go on the boat tour.
but I'm not sure about horticus botanicus, I may hit the saddle again instead looking for hazes and lunch.

Basically when I'm on my bike, those with bikes are welcome to follow me around to my favorite places or suggest places they'd like to visit.(kind of like a biketaxi but instead of paying you help pedal) this process has been dubbedTrichomefarmer's bike tours

 I will start a thread concerning this matter as we aproach April

Damn I hate making decisions. I was thinking about taking in BOGs seminar that day but that line up sounds great too. Well I do know I'll be trying to ride at least one of those days.

I have a feeling I'm gonna be following trichomefarmer wherever he leads. His bike tours were one of the most enjoyable things in last years trip.

P.S: I don't enjoy riding a bike but I feel it's a must in AMsterdam.

More like between 50°F and 68°F OHenry...and its damn cold in Europe now. Snowing up until last week, and I'm in Southern Europe. Hopefully spring will be here soon, and I hope it'll be warm in A'Dam at 420 (I hate the cold, can't stand it!), but I'm not counting on it being confortably warm :frown:

Amsterdam is often wet and chilly but for a mountain man the lowlands seem quite warm. Get a slicker packed but don't figure on needing ear muffs. In fact it might be warm enough for the girls to take their shirts off. I sure hope so. :D

Can I enter the wet t-shirt contest? BOG

Skinny Dipping in the canals? I don't think so but a boat ride maybe would be acceptable and I should do as my mama told me and "keep my shirt on". :D

But, it is a party and this is Amsterdam now isn't it... :alien: BOG

We gonna need a padded cell Bluevelvet...

Weather update for southern Europe...

March weather still...very variable, kinda nippy but not cold, we are getting lows of 7°C and highs between 11°-15°, I expect Holland more or less is the same, maybe a bit cooler. Very rainy last week with fronts passing through over all of Europe...hope it'll stabilize around 17°-20° highs in A'Dam in a couple of weeks
