approx 50% will be male..
so youll end up with 3-6 females from 10.

that reminds me! i have seeds to germ. hehe. it's been awile for seeds with me tho.
i'll letya kmow the outcome. but in the past i've always gotten more fems. might be dumb luck, might be enviorment. i'd like to think enviorment has something to do with it but in reality it's outa our hands. haaa. my opinion only. and a quite fuzzy opinion it is i might add. later.

Hey dude, 4 out of 10 ain't too bad...be happy you got that many. Im on my seventh grow...I think, and I have never had a great ratio up until now...i germed 24 seeds..21 popped and grew out strong, and I only got 2 males!!!!!19 out of 21 is fuckin amazin in my book. I think the more seeds u germ, the better the ratio can be..good luck and keep it green!!!Peace.

ok cool i was disapointed there for a minute. i was hoping for at least 6 female. I got some pics check em out. This is today at the end of week one of flower.

Average ratio is an illusion... Every seed is a coinflip... It's either xx or xy... Expecting a 50/50 ratio from every 10 pack of seed is as rational as expecting every series of 10 coinflips to have a 50/50 ratio of heads to tails... Just as it is entirely possible to flip 30 heads in a row, it is entirely possile to get 30 males in a row...

have u taking a class in probability and statistics. average ratio means that if you took infinite event s (infinite amount of seeds) the ratio would be 50/50. so ofcourse some could be more male and some more female. so yes the average ratio is 50/50Grat3fulh3ad said:

While there is a 50/50 chance of getting either a heads or tails from each individual coinflip... getting a 50/50 ratio in a set of counflips is not a 50/50 chance.
You simply cannot use a 50/50 probability of an event ocurring to say that statisticly the event will occur 1/2 the time...

There is an equal probability of it coming out 9/1 or 1/9 or anywhere in btween. The probability of each individual seed being 50/50 IN NO WAY(especially mathamaticly) implies that the 10 pack should have a 50/50 ratio...
But you are correct, If I grow out infinite seed packs, I'll find some with the 5/5 ratio...

right... but the original post of the thread calls a 4:6 f:m ratio fuct up shit... as though that were outside of average parameters... That's what I was refering to with the illusion comment... Expecting a 50/50 ratio from each pack of seeds is crazy, and this is what the thread starter implies that they expected when complaining about the 60/40 pack...

When I drop a 10 pack of seeds I generally hope I'll end up with at least three of what I am looking for (males or females, depending on why I dropped the seeds)...
