As someone who's been around here since early on, I've certainly been kicked down a peg. No worries w/ that, but it was an excellent way to communicate, esp. w/ friends who had to dump their accts. and didn't have 50 posts and wanted to be discreet; ie not wanting to use message boards.

I just can't believe there are peeps complaining about abuses, and peeps scheming to abuse. It's a pot site, for F's sake!!!

I miss ~shabang~'s coding skills. OG had a good karma system. mousing over it would show %karma from grow related posts, and social karma carried less weight.

I spent a few hours today reading through the big plant thread in the Tom Hill forum, and I really wanted to give a few posters some rep for all the information they shared. I think it is too bad that the childish posters who abused the rep system have ruined it for all the members of this site who appreciate receiving and giving feedback.

Well the Generations change.

Weed-Sites have generally favored the young and in that we have problems with maturity.

I don't see how a rep system is a true reflection of the metal of any gardener really.

Now the feedback.. That's worth it. I know I found happiness when someone reads something I posted a year or two ago and says "Thanks" That is exactly what I was looking for and you said it so well.

That is sort of a payment for making the effort.

It's not like I gain income from this or any site I post on.. At least not yet.

Sometimes someone is so right that it bears reading twice. Thanks for saying what a newer customer can't. (Yes, customer - we buy from server fund auction that pays webslave to not do his work properly).

I have a small box here (4x4) with a limited head-room (3.5ft) and growing Greenhouse's White-Rhino plus Greenhouse's "The Doctor" was a job in that tight space not to mention the Bubba x OG from Kryptonite...

I was fortunate that the Rhino did it's thing and was so sad I actually had to "Hedge-clip" the Doctor three times.. man oh man is that a big plant and it just grows and grows and grows.

Much respects to all the Gardeners here. I will not be playing the "Bigger,bader,better" game for real...

I really wish I could grow outside! I'd love to have a picture of my plants in full sun.

Same thing I've been thinking after reading the reason given. I'd give you some K+ but......
At least giving a 24 hour notice so the comments could have been saved by members who wanted to hang on to them would have been considerate. But I guess that would have been to hard to do.
