I liked when you could tell when someones hunk of karma was grow related because it meant you knew who the real growers were.I had longlines on OG under a few different names.I wouldnt have noticed but why did they cut it out?99% grow related thats how to get edumacated

too many banned topics around here lately and now this. There is a lot of very good quality strains out there that cannot be discussed here, I have to go to other sites to study up about them.

Rep (imo) is not away to gauge knowledge, but rather to show your appreciation for what was posted, if you like, or agree with the post, then hit the thumbs up....

I do this for the weed, fuck the rep. It was nice to chit chat it up with pals, at the same time, this site has all the same content that makes it great. I used the rep, it was fun, but really at the end of the day could really give two shits. All said, I value the content, it's what is important. I understand some people really really liked the rep, for whatever reason, but there is alot of negativity, over something silly. I just pretty much accept whatever decisions are made as to how this site is "done", and feel like that's just the way it is. To me, it's a who cares, type of thing. After this I'ma go by the organics, security, growroom designs and equip, and so on, make the rounds, check my cp and subscribed, whatever..I could care less positive or negative rep, or if it's there at all frankly. I'ma keep right on reading, and posting whenever, the weed is what it's really about. Someone mentioned earlier, just go to the fuckers page, I mean if you want to figure out more about them, check albums, threads started etc...that is what I have always done, rep did not =reputable/reliable information. And hey I was a name known to all or some shit, but I don't fucking care maaaang! Better off no one knows me IMO. Just the same I really enjoy alot folks here, and appreciate their advice, contributions, camaraderie. Fuck the rep, and if you bring it back then whatever, long as I can continue to grow and learn, that's why I am here. I haven't been able to grow for almost a year now, and I really really like icmag, seed boutique, the auctions, I mean everything, it gets me through the day and inspires me to get to a place where I can grow again, all the while learning more and more everyday. I never fail to learn something literally each and every time I come on to icmag.

They should be rep'd out of here. I've always felt the rep thing was elementary at best, there really is no need to know who KNOWS what they are posting about.

this is lame. plus they already binned 2 other threads about it. Whats with all this censorship? we dont like the rep system changes at all. They were not thought out collectively or with with regard to how it would change our overall experience with this site. When you start changing the site like this and then censoring our reactions, there is a huge problem. I can understand censoring a sensitive subject but this is outrageous to bin threads about the rep system being binned. Thats even mor bs than shutting down the rep system entirely. Its obviuos the decision is quite unpopular you cant hide the fact that you shut down the rep system, so why censor threads on it? LAME!

But I do know attacking and belittling Skip for this is very uncool and you need to remember that Skip makes things work around here... which is more than I can say for any other webmaster who may have tinkered with the site in the past.
Besides that, it is in the forum guidelines that insulting other members is a bannable offense. So I think all those who have been slinging insult upon insult have some apologizing to do. Skip is a member of the site as well as Webmaster...

I say bring back the rep and i am not alone on this argument as everyone is fuming at this change and the board is getting full of complaints and new threads popping up everywhere complaining about the situation.

I am about to update my Reveg thread.. Why do I bother? To be a part of a community... A Grow Community
BUT feedback with a simple click is a nice tool.
If we do away with the "Count Good/Bad" then we can see if the feed back is positive or Negative and take it from there.
I can handle that occasional "hey Asshole" remark It's shocking when I usually get "Good Job" or "Two Thimbs up" stuff but i can deal without sending anything back.
BTW I have only issued one Negative rep and only ever received One negative rep in 4500 posts.
