I remember a saying there was to bring your own woman in advance 😅
The other saying, coined, I believe, during the Annual Talkeetna Bachelor Auction and Ball, geared toward women finding (and bidding on) men, was, "The odds are good, but the goods are odd."

And the next, upcoming Bachelor Auction and Ball in Talkeetna.... There's still time to put yourself on the block and see what you'll bring..

We never scale our salmon when making strips or smoked fillets.

I believe these folks are down south, perhaps West Coast, though they reference Alaska as part of the presentation. Possibly some cultural or 'band'/tribal cross-over between the 2 areas.

The fact that he refers to acorns is evidence that he's not in Alaska.

The gapped cutting jig on his cutting table for uniform strips is an excellent idea.

I watched this movie the other night. Based on a true story. The debate team from small black college in Texas ends up debating the Harvard debate team in the 1930's. Starring and directed by Denzel Washington. I thought it was pretty good. Denzel made a $1 million dollar donation to the college so they could re-establish their debate team. Pretty cool.
