What Are You Eating Right Now!!!

Can you give a short run through how you made them? I might try it...
I like it when the patties are crispy and juicy inside. Form the balls with a scale and press into the pan with a (2) spatula until they are flat. For me 30g double is enough. Generously salt and pepper the top and scrape and turn when the crust forms. Put on the processed cheese (jalapenos) and you're done. It's as simple as it sounds. Then fill as you wish. Lettuce, tomato, onion roasted or fresh, it doesn't matter.

Before that, roast the buns (i like brioche) with butter in the same pan.

Mmh, sounds great, thanks!

So you just fry the ground meat, no additions before putting it in the pan?

That's right, you don't need it, the taste comes from the roasted crust and good ground beef always tastes good without spices inside.

If you salt it beforehand, the salt will pull the sag and it will dry out

Found this... have a look.

nice looking burger, except for the tomatoes and the (usually) flavourless mayonaise ;)
Damn! this reminds me of how long it´s been since I last had a burger. I used to be addicted to Big Kings and the chilli cheese ones

It´s too bad that those burger stores keep putting their prices up. The last time I checked a burger cost 3.60 minimum. Just not worth it tho :(
I switched to kebabs some years ago as they offer better value for money....

That's Burger Sauce, not Mayonaise. ;) The Danish have great Burger-Sauce btw, it's pretty famous here in germany.

What's wrong with tomatoes?
those danish sauces are rubbish too imo. which brand do you use?
funny how our tastes change isn´t it? When I was little I was more than happy with mustard and ketchup, lol.
Dunno about tomatoes, when I was a kid I liked them on burgers, then I didn´t and them I found out that they´re not only really bad for you but the worst thing is - I´m allergic! :( :( :(
I presonally prefer onions and lettuce :)

That´s cheap my friend...

Good fresh (BIG) burgers without fries here at 8€ and dürüm 7€... normal döner/kebab 6€

I don't need as much food as a kebab, so I prefer a good burger, or sometimes two. I don't use tomatoes in the winter or on top of a chili cheese. Everyone can do what they like. The vid was about the processing of the smashed patties

wow, that´s expensive! round here those cost about 5+ now. I didn´t have a durum or kebab since before covid (ie 2019) but then I paid about 4.60-4.80 max

the burger price is from waaay back, I guess. I think now they´re nearly 5 Euros? There´s a McRubbish very close to where I live but I haven´t been in there for many years . I just can´t stand their so called burgers... You can get real food for the same price.

Yes, it's all homemade and no rocket science... except for the buns and cheese.
You don't need many things to make a good burger sauce.
In principle, I can imitate all MC DOOF or Würger King sauces if I want to do it.
